Does anyone else have gurgling inside after eating or drinking ? I got the dreaded feeling you get before the dumping syndrome ,after taking a vitamin capsule, so maybe because they are quite big capsules , I need to get them changed , but I get sometimes when I’ve just drunk liquid . .

Can it do the stomach and harm by eating a lot of sugarfree popsicles ?

Hi everyone . Hope you are all doing well 🙂 Does anyone get a stomach ache when drinking?

This is when I haven’t drunk too fast , it too soon after food . I think I’m a bit paranoid because I had ecoli in my urine and got really bad pains and then got bruised ribs from trying to be sick for hours and hours. The pain started to get better , but has come back ,tho not as bad .

Icant even imagine how you must have felt , but happy to hear it came out right for you in the end. These are supposed to be professional people !! How could she do that !! It’s admirable that you didn’t give up , well done and I’m so pleased you got. it done , but you shouldn’t have to have gone through all. that stress. You. should report it . Are these people completely void of any kind of compassion at all?!! Apart from that, they have a duty of care , are supposed to be unbiased . VERY unprofessional. Has anyone had bruised ribs , and had agonising pain? I was given anti biotics for something , and they made me very sick and gave me terrible diarreoh. I was trying to vomit for 2 days and 2 nights on an empty stomach . The doctor told me I’d now got bruised ribs . I am 5 months post op and whenI left hospital after a bypass, I was told that I could only take Paracetamol . The pain is so intense that I can’t talk , or do anything when it comes, and the tablets often don’t last 4 hours .At 5 months out, dies anyone know if we can take anything stronger ?Tried to talk the bariactric team , but can’t get anyone . Thank you in advance for reading this 🙂

In the last 3 weeks , so many doctors have told me so many conflicting things, I’m just overwhelmed by it all now. I was feeling so good after my surgery , then I got a stomach bug, and haven’t felt will since .

You’re not the first person to have done this Mr. Sean , and doesn’t the weight loss start slowing down at about 6months anyway? You’ve done so well , and as Deedee said, it’s not too late to get back on track . btw, well done Deedee for getting back on track. I wish I was hungry . I’m 20 weeks out, and got ill before Christmas , still not great and can’t eat . Im living on Chicken soup . My surgeon told me I should be be having 4 or 5 protein shakes a day, but can’t get anywhere near it . I’m lucky if I can get through 1.which nuts are we allowed ?

I’m having this pain at the moment , but my doctor said I have bruised ribs from trying to vomit on an empty stomach for hours on end . For me the pain is extremely severe, and I’m struggling to. eat all the time , and feel nauseous.

I am always thirsty , so am sipping drink and sugarfree ice pops all day all the time, can I do too much of this ?

I’ve had that, NOT pleasant!

It’s hard when there are so many varied plans , and you read all different do’s and don’ts , and what is and isn’t ok. I would rather err on the side of caution , although I did have a terrific thirst all the time and found it really hard not to drink for 30 mins either side of a meal. My meals used to get later and later because I just couldn’t wait to drink . I used to suck ice cubes , and bought a box of over 200 sugar free popsicles - then it went I’ve used about 10 of the popsicles !

If it’s when you may have eaten a bit too much , could it be dumping syndrome ? I have had it , but couldn’t actually be sick . It’s the worst feeling .

Do you know what did it ? This exact same thing has happened to my son , who also had a Gastric Sleeve. He is now talking about having it changed to a bypass .
