Did everyone wear their compression socks for the 2 weeks required post op ? I couldn’t stand the pain with them anymore and took them off , but wondering now if I should try them again . I’m 1 week post op .

Me too, I started the process 2and 1/2 years ago, and have been going up and down to the hospital ever since , and to other clinics . It was cancelled last November -due to missing instruments! - the mind boggles ! then cancelled again on 25th July because of extreme heat , and I finally just had it on 12 th August . I still can’t believe it’s done ! Good luck mom, you’ll. feel great when its done :-) Youre on the road to your new life!

I’m so glad you’re going back to liquids for a bit . I have puréed vegetables ie, sweet potato , parsnips , broccoli, carrots, is the one I like .I mix all of those together . Sounds awful! but it’s actually ok. I also have had scrambled egg puréed , and weetabix. made really soft with a lot of milk. All these have been fine . They’re the only ones I’ve tried so far . I’m no expert , but it sound like you’re moving on too quickly and your stomach can’t cope . But then, I know all programmes are different . Let me know how you get on .Good luck 💗

I’m so sorry for you that your going through . I had it for a night and a day after I had tomato soup , and that was bad enough . 9 days post op sounds quite soon to start on the soft phase . Have you done the puréed yet ? Im on day 12, and have only started the puréed phase 2 days ago. I think I would go back to liquids for a couple of days and see what happens .Id be too scared to have soft foods too ! Good luck

Hear hear ! I agree with you Deedee . So am I right in thinking that puréed chicken would cause you stomach to feel hungry?

Did the clear liquids fix it? Maybe it’s just the new stomach getting used to things. I haven’t looked it up yet but I will . What stage are at nowDeedee?

I found I went past a mealtime once by about an hour. I was hungry and could have easily eaten too much , so I try not to do that now . Does anyone else get a stomach ache when eating ?

Well done Lynne . Glad you’re using a pillow to help you getting up . I found that helped a lot , and also under the seat belt in a car. You'll go from strength to strength now :-) I wish you all the best with your recovery 💗

😊 Scrambled eggs was fine. I could only eat just over half so it was 1/2 an egg . What did it do to you ? I had tomato soup the other day and really suffered for it. It was stupid . Because my son could have it after his surgery, I thought it would be ok . Bad idea ! I’ll stick to what my paperwork says in future !

Yum ! Sounds great. Are they like baked beans in tomato sauce? you may have different things , I think you’re in the U. S. ? I’m just having my first purreed meal. Scrambled egg , bit nervous !

I also have a surgeon like that . Dr. Haris Khawaja. At The Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London. England . The care , the staff and the surgeon were just amazing , He went over and above the call of duty . He is thorough , extremely cautious, Kind ,and treats all his patients as an individual case according to age , vulnerability, past medical history, and did everything to make it as easy as possible because we had to travel a long way to the hospital , even came to do his clinic just for me although it had been cancelled. I knew I was in good hands and am immensely grateful to him . How do you thank anyone enough fior something like that ?

I was so pleased to read that the boobs always go first - thank you 😀. Mine are massive , and I’ve been worrying wont lose them .
