Are strawberries ok on the puréed phase if liquidised as a smoothie ?

Hi Natalie. Yes I’ve been experiencing the bad taste . I was told it’s Ketosis caused by fat leaving the body quickly .I started using mouthwash which does help , except I can’t stand Peppermint, and most of then seem to be Peppermint ! They have different coloured bottles , but don’t say what they are They did have one that was Cloves , but couldn’t stand that either )No pleasing some people is there!!)😄

Hi everyone . Hope you’re all doing ok . I am just over a month post op and have a recurring bad taste at the back of mouth . Has anyone else had , or heard of this ? Would really appreciate any help.

I think I’d ask my G.P. first before I increased or added anything , or see if it says anything on the label .

yes I wondered that too, but when you think what our digestive systems have gone through and all the different vitamins we’re taking , who knows ! It’s such a relief to hear that it wasn’t just me getting it though . Thank you 😊

Im glad you posted this question Celtic .Ive been wondering the same thing ! I read about people going to the gym , and walking loads , I’ve had it by the time I’ve got up and got myself showered , dressed etc. I have to stop for a bit before I go on to the next job. I’ve been obsessed with. trying to get more protein to get more energy , but my son informs me that more protein won’t nessacarily give more energy , we NEED it, but it’s our small calorie intake that makes energy low. He had the surgery and said he was tired for a while after . When I thought about it , on the nutritional info on backs of things , calories are described as energy. Having said that , I think a lot depends on age as well . I bet a lot of the people who are working out etc . are much younger than me !😊

So AC , by full diet, do you mean the food for life phase ?the very last phase ? a month post op seems really quick , I’m a month post op and still on puréed. I guess if your stomach isn’t complaining and you’re keeping it down, you have to follow what your body tells you . Have you been given follow up info ? Keep us updated and ask ask ask if you’re not sure . Good luck t

yay!! 😃well done ! Mine are all slipping round now too . One actually fell off my finger and I’d lost it . I’m a month post op .

I would cut out hard boiled eggs. They can contribute to constipation. My son swears by Ben fibre which they also reccomend in my Bariactric Bible . Hope you’re feeling a bit better now . Bless you , it sounds really painful . Good luck .
