Green haired granny

Initially prepped for RNY gastric bypass around 2000.  By the time I was approved, my insurance decided it was no longer covering it.  When they decided to cover it again, my surgeon had left the state.  I figured it wasn't my time.  Started prep again last fall.  Had to delay RNY surgery to repair an abdominal hernia that was intermittently strangling my bowels (that was fun--NOT!), but finally had RNY on June 5, 2019.  My hiatal hernia was so extensive the surgery took twice as long as usual.  I ended up in ICU, and after 6 days was released from the hospital.  It's been a slow recovery from there.
