It regulated my period, for the first time I can remember in as many years. It's easier to lose the weight after surgery, which is amazing. I have lost a lot of hair, however, it's worth the trade off. I take my vitamins and get my protein in. Regardless of PCOS, I've seen people lose hair, and some haven't. The health benefits outweigh (no pun intended) the hair loss. I had thick hair, even with PCOS, and lots of it, so I have hopes it will grow back. Now, if only my chin hair would go away.....

I'm guessing nerves? It's a huge life change. You're altering a part of your body, forever. You're giving up your current relationship with food, which, for a good portion of us, is hard. Food is comfort. For some, it was their friend (that's what the people on the 600 lb. life show say). It can be fear. We all worry about surgery. While I cried over nervousness before, I had waaaayyyyy more emotional moments after. Happily, most of them are good now (teary-eyed over a new size or number on the scale I haven't seen in forever; not being out of breath or doing something I couldn't for quite some time). You'll go through, and continue to go through a lot. It's ok to let it out and cry. It's healthy! I'm so happy for you, so glad you're date is coming soon.

Breath in and out. When you first have surgery, you are pumped full of fluids and all that, so you actually go up in weight. And it comes off. It all didn't come on overnight (but I know how easy a gain is, compared to a loss). My best advice - don't look at everyone else's numbers and stats, or you're going to drive yourself mad. I did that in the beginning. But everybody (emphasis on body) is different. It will work for you. You started at 250, so you may lose slower than someone who started at 450 (that's more fact). Every pound is great and when was the last time you lost 8 lbs in 13 days? That's an AMAZING accomplishment. Don't stress yourself out and keep working your program. You'll do wonderfully!! ❤️

I have lost 116 lbs (some before surgery, 61.5 since surgery). I have, very honestly, never felt better. I really believe it's the combination of no added sugar/super low sugar, hardly any carbs (I have only eaten sweet potatoes, barley or fruit), exercise and vitamins. I feel like a teenager again, at 41.

I have had some mood swings, for sure. I have PCOS and I know my hormones are way more regulated. My period actually comes when it's supposed to, every month. And yes, we all used food as a coping mechanism. It's an adjustment, but I promise you, it doesn't last long and gets better. She will be ok; just be supportive and kind

Had mine done robotically. No issues. It is more precise. I'm super happy with my results thus far. You'll do wonderfully!

No regrets, it saved my life and gave me a new start. This girl huffed and puffed down the block, to her car, and is not preparing to do a race and does 6 to 8 miles in a day. Aside from typical pain at the big incision (where the stomach comes out), I've been blessed with no complications and haven't gotten sick once yet. Yes, I've had uncomfortable bloating, and some times feel nauseated (mostly my vitamins, which I'm changing) but that's all. It's been such a tremendous blessing, but it's truly a personal decision. All I can suggest is to educate yourself, listen to your surgeon and nutritionist and, if you make the choice, don't let others get you down.

I do believe the pouch can be stretched. If anyone watched that recent episode of this new season of My 600 Lb. Life, there was one woman that had the sleeve, only made it to 300 lbs and was on the show again to get a revision, because she ate her way back up to 600 plus pounds. When he did the revision, he said the first sleeve procedure she had was completely undone. And her revision was hard because she had tons of scar tissue. We totally can undo what we've done. That fact always frightens me and makes me remember to measure my portions, whenever possible.

I, too, have PCOS, and I feel we have to fight a little harder for it. But we'll get there.

So, I've experienced quite a few NSVs as of recent. I can cross my legs (not super comfortably yet, but hey); I'm in a size 14/16, down from a 26; and I see my collarbones. Yay! 2 1/2 months out - 50 lbs lost post surgery and an additional 54 lbs was lost before (on my own, July 2019). I'm walking fast and exercising amazingly. This, all from the woman who got winded walking down the block to her car. Life is good!

10/28 sleeve, down 50 since surgery, about 104 since I started my own journey in July. I hit a mini stall and then upped my exercise. That did it for me.

Surgery 10/28, down 50 lbs since surgery. Well out of the 300s. Lost over 100 lbs since I started in July 2019 (I lost more than 50 lbs before surgery) Energy is off the charts and so much more active. So happy and thankful every day. I'm doing the best I can, for me, but struggle not to compare myself with others. I work on that, every day.

You had surgery same day as me, only 10/28/19. You're doing phenomenal, you'll be fine. I WISH I was down to the last 20.
