OH wow! Had my first fill today. Dr. Chapman did it in like 2 minutes. No big deal. I was eating up to 4 oz after 6 weeks and still losing but I was getting HUNGRY after about 11/2 hours so now we will see. He is head of bariatric surgery at ECU school of medicine. Has anyone else been banded there?

Hey Indigo Girl and other fabulous 50's and over. I am newly banded and 55 years old. I am a newby and would love to be a contributing member of the group. I need some advice and support, and I have learned through this site, that this is the place to be. I was banded on Dec 19th. :tt2: -
Okay, I am 2 weeks and 2 days banded. I have lost 18 pounds. I do ge tired easily and do not feel that I stay full long enough. I stared with the soft diet two days ago. I go for my first post op visit Tuesday. I feel I have recovered very well. Should I be feeling a hard lump where my incision was? I try to take it slow and not over do anything. I so want to do what it right. This site has helped me so much. Happy New Year everyone

Hello All. I am scheduled to be banded Dec 19th. A Christmas present to myself. It is the only time I can take the time off so I am prepared. I turn 55 on the 11th of November and I have been overweight my entire adult life. I want my next 40 plus years =-) to be healthy and fit, so this is my first step. Looking forward to some chatting. I have so much to be thankful for. :cool2: -
Okay Hi all, I am awaiting to hear from my surgeon. I have had all the required tests, dietician visits, psychologist's visit etc... how long does it take now. I may not have passed the psychologist test. Am I crazy because I do not keep a food diary?>>>>>>> just kidding. I feel pretty confident and Dr. Chapman from ECU in Greenville North Carolina (anyone been through banding there) said I was a good candidate. :rolleyes2:This is an awesome site and has already helped me so much..... be back soon

Hi, I have had my first surgeon's visit and three of the required exams done. I am waiting to schedule the psych's visit and the dietcian's visit. I am getting anxious and want things to move along////////////:thumbup:
