Saggy Sophie no more. Plastic surgery to the rescue!
pssk replied to Sophie7713's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
You look GREAT! It must be so nice not having the dreaded tummy fold that we all seem to get. You are so darned cute! Oh and if my hubby heard me say that I want smaller boobs, he’d yell! Shhh... lol -
Yeah, food intake is status quo. I even decreased last week to see if I could break the stall. I’m not two weeks at this same weight yet so I’m sure it will move along again. Thanks for all the replies!
-
Okay, so we all know about it but I have a specific question... When in the stall, does the weight fluctuate? Like a two pound flux? Just want to make sure I am in the stall or is this something else? I don’t want to make myself crazy changing things if it is just typical. Thoughts? Thanks!
-
I don’t measure myself weekly so I’m not sure if they changed. I do it once a month so I can’t be sure. I’m closing in on goal so I know the losing will slow down. I’m just bewildered by this infamous 3 month stall that so many experience regardless of their starting BMI. I was losing so nicely I didn’t think I would hit a stall but I think I might be in one...hasn’t been two week yet so we shall see. I just don’t like the 2 lb yo yo right now.

Saggy Sophie no more. Plastic surgery to the rescue!

This is interesting. I assumed I would have to have the muscles repaired and tightened but maybe... I’m glad the lift isn’t painful! I had a reduction 25 years ago and that hurt as much as I can remember. I’m actually hoping when I do the lift that I will be a little smaller than I am. I am presently a DD and would love to end up a C. That is what I wanted 25 years ago and I got a D. Grrr. I was thin back then and was really hoping for a full C. Oh well... It is also interesting to hear that menopause may help me with plastics! Lol yeah! -

Sophie, You look fantastic! I am so excited for you. I’m 55 and I’m confident when I am finished losing that I will need exactly the same surgery you have just gotten. It is great to see someone close to my age doing so well!! I’m 10 lbs from my original goal and then I will wait at least 6mos-1yr before I go under the knife. I imagined myself having a rough time as compared to the other younger ladies who have recently undergone plastics. You have given me confidence by sharing your story! Congratulations on the perky boobs and flat tummy! -
My sincere condolences.

I had band removed in 2018 and was sleeved on 10/19. Originally the surgeon wanted to do RNY but changed his mind due to the fact that I was getting gout attacks (not diet related). I hope that I don’t end up with reflux. So far no signs of it but I think it can develop later on... Best wishes to you!

You look amazing! What size boobs did you end up with? I ask because I will probably get a lift when I do TT. But of course this will probably be next year for that. I couldn’t see the faja image for some reason.. -
Sounds like a keeper!

May I ask what is your height? You look FABULOUS!

I can totally tell. Look at your chin and how much larger your eyes look! Your face shaped has definitely changed. You look great! Congratulations -
How are the October 19 people doing?
pssk replied to pssk's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I struggle with the water amount each day. I do try but I seem to stay full and then I try to get water in and feel awful. Lately I’m drinking more at night which helps but makes me wake up to pee. Lol I got off my CPAP (no more snoring here either), bp reduced (it was getting terribly uncontrollable), feet feel better...pretty much everything feels better. I am starting to do IF as I would love to hit goal by the end of March when we are going on a cruise. -
Frustrated with "I know someone who gained it all back" reactions
pssk replied to Basham53's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I feel like telling someone who just got bariatric surgery that you know someone who gained it all back is comparable to telling someone on the gurney that you know someone who died in surgery. It is just in poor taste... I am also one who didn’t share my surgery. It is my personal health information. That being said, I do feel dishonest sometimes when people comment on my weight loss and I don’t divulge. I just don’t want to be defined by my weight loss surgery so I haven’t opened that can of worms. I don’t care if people figure it out or assume because I’m not embarrassed. If someone came to me for serious advice, I would consider sharing to be helpful. -
I have recently started drinking coffee in the mornings. Prior to two weeks ago I hadn’t had any since July (3 months pre op). Someone convince me that I must stop this! Sigh...
-
Okay, it sounds like my one cup a day should not harm me. I drink it with a little bit on milk and stevia so I’m not getting calories really. I was more interested in the gastritis or ulcer issues. I am going to ask at my next appointment to find out the rationale. Thanks again for all the responses!!

My mother said she no longer wants to talk or see me anymore.

Congratulations! I’m happy for you and plan on joining the club in about a year. I cannot wait to see all the new outfits! I just read that TT can mean 2-3 size change after swelling subsides. -

I agree with the others and it sounds like your mother is mentally ill. Hopefully some day she will get on some kind of medication to help her. Until she is well, keep her blocked. I’m sorry you drew the crappy mother card. Hugs! -
I baked them with my daughter last night and I didn’t try one! It seemed so unnatural!
-
It is weird but I don’t crave all of my favorites anymore. I am two months post op and I hope I keep feeling like this forever! I’m just so obsessed with getting to goal that I think I’ve convinced myself that all of my faves are evil. Lol

16 WEEKS AND 107LBS DOWN.
pssk replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You are doing amazing! Congratulations! -
Oh and advice is to drink water and some say cranberry juice helps but I would leave that to the doctor. Too bad you weren’t able to strain/collect since you didn’t know. By testing the stone they can tell which type it is...calcium or irate. That gives a better idea of diet modification if needed.
-
I would see a urologist. Consider yourself lucky that you didn’t have a full blown attack. They must have been small and smooth enough to pass through the kidneys and ureters. I speak from experience. Get into the urologist. They will probably a test to see if your kidneys have stones in there. It will also help for them to do a urine test to see if you are bleeding due to the stones moving down and out. Hope this one was one time deal. Be well.

Anyone having trouble with the BP app?
pssk posted a topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Cannot log into BP iPhone app. I can clearly log in here otherwise but it logs me out quickly. Everything has been fine until a few days ago. i deleted the app and reinstalled it to no avail. Anyone else having troubles?
