  1. Well I have been reading all the great posts and I just wanted to say "DAMN WHAT GOOD WORK!" I was part of the Spring Boot Camp of 06 and did so much better with the support of my Lap Band Friends! A recap: I started my journey 12/27/05 at 365lbs, as of today I have lost 131lbs! I still have 49 lbs till I get to overweight not obese and I am hoping to get help from you guys again!

    Try applesauce!!!! eat it with a baby spoon it is one of the most soothing foods listed for acid reflux! It should be room temp and take a spoonful and rest inbetween. I had a sundried Tomato stuck in my pouch and the apple sauce was the only thing that soothed me and made me feel better after they opened my band and let it pass. I was irritated and very uncomfortable....... DONT DO THAT AGAIN!! YOU GOT THE BAND TO BE A TOOL.... TAKE CARE OF YOUR TOOLS! GOOD LUCK

    I am on my way to vacation,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, (literally walking out the door!!!)

    This weeks loss is 3 more lbs!!! woo hoo.... total since baded 90lbs

    my boot camp stats should be total 31 lbs gone and inches 25.25 inches melted off!!!!

    Sarge get well soon!!! Please let me know when the next camp starts!!!

    I am off to the beach in my itsy bitsy tieny wieney one piece skirted bathing suit with a cover up!!!!! LOL

  5. Well it's been a hell of a week!!!!!!! With Graduations, Parties and general mayham it's a wonder I have lost the 2lbs my scale says..... Woo Hoo... still dropping...... When cleaning my house for all this Graduation Nonsense I have mislaid my "book" my journal.... so I can't tell if any inches have fallen off but I can report that I didn not formally exercise once!!!!! Just running around and moving furniture to make room for parties.... LOL

    Any who..... has any one heard from Sarge in Sick Bay???????? I pray for her recovery and wish her all my best!!!!!

    THIS HAS TO BE A SOLID WORK ON WEIGHT WEEK!!!!! I WANT TO LOOSE THREE 3 MORE LBS TO MAKE BOOT CAMP A SOLID THIRTY POUND LOSS!!! I LIKE ROUND NUMBERS!!!!

  6. I have hit the 85lb lost mark!!!!!! Woo Hooooooooo!!!!!!!

    The number on the far side of my ticker is Lower!!!!!

    The weights are working at reducing my bulk.....

    1in in my chest

    1in on my waist

    1in on my hips

    and 1/2inch on my thighs.....

    I got to get going on my arms the double wave is still with me... LOL

    I have had a good week I hope everyone else has done well too!!

    Here I thought I was failing and low and behold I am still sliding down the scale!!!

    21lb loss and 19.5inches Boot Camp Totals

    This is half way to my total goal of 160lbs..... (It is also three lbs shy of my 10year old)

    Every Nutritionist is different it seems... mine recomends the following

    1200 calories ( I try to keep to 1000 )

    70 - 80 grams of Protein

    and 70 - 80 oz of liquid (any caffinated drinks do not count)

    I take a Calcium suppliment 1000g

    a multi vitimin

    two benefiber capsules

    flax seed oil

    fish oil

    and 1000 Vit. C.......

    I hope this helps

    Your stats are fantastic....... count up what you have been doing and average them out... your loss pre band is very impressive and post band is great!

    Memorial Day Weekend is HERE and I have plateaued?(SP)

    I broke into the Mess Hall last night and ate two (2) OREO COOKIES>>>>

    And I am soooo mad at me.....:) but Let it go!!!!!

    Back on schedule today, Second bottle of Water DOWN SIR, 20 minuites walking DONE< and now.... I WILL KEEP FOCUSED!!!!!

    Wanda's dishwasher quit working so she called a repairman. Since she had to go to

    When the repairman arrived at Wanda's apartment the following day, he

  15. Mission Accomplished! This week I have had a 5 (FIVE) pound loss AND a 2.5 inch loss!!!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

    Just for fun I went back to my First Bootcamp Stats on 2/21/06 and Totaled the numbers~~~~ 23inches~~~~ WooRah!!! And total weight loss since my surgery 5months ago is ~~~76lbs~~~~

    Both my Dr. and Nutritionist wanted me to keep a Journal and this has been one order that I have followed constantly! I record my Daily weight, Calories, Protein, Oz of liquid and notes daily. (measurements did not start till 2/21/06 when I joined BootCamp)

    I am Proud of this accomplishment! I used 4x6 index cards, one for each day and carried them with me at all times! Charting every thing that passes into my Body. But I found a new tool.

    I went out on Friday and purchased myself a new toy! I bought a Palm Z22 Handheld (Its a bit smaller than a deck of cards and cost $99.00) After setting it up and registering the device with my computer and entering my calendar, contacts and such I found a program at Palm.com called DIET ANS EXERCISE. It was $19.99 and after you put in your charge card it downloads on both your computer and the Handheld. It is the Bomb! It records your personal information, BMI, Diet Plan, and has zillions of food choices that can be used, edited or added to, to record your Daily Log. It also lets you record your exercise and does all the calculations as calories burned vs calories taken in. It is new and I continue to use my Index cards till I get the hang of it but I think I am going to love it..

    I have stopped toting my Date book, Diet Journal and millions of notes, phone numbers and papers in my Pocketbook! New Me!!!!!! ( I was the original BAG LADY with the over stuffed suitcase with all the papers bulging out of my bag)

    I thought I would share this new found TOOL incase anyone else out there was interested. One of the most effective things I have done is keep my journal.

    One more thing I have recently changed is going back to a Protein Drink at least once a day. (I wasn't getting in enough protein) My Daily Intake Goal has been: Calories at 1200, Protein at 80+ and my Ounces of liquid at 80+. I really need to take a cue from Telly and Kick up the Excersise!

    Thanks to all my LapBandTalk Friends who have encouraged me and kept me from going AWOL. I can't wait to post every week and see everyone's posts!

Teresita did a wonderful job with her color coding loss records..... But as we all learn in BOOT CAMP we don't leave our people behind! We are with you in spirit and prayer!

    OK ALL YOU MEMBERS...... DRINK YOUR WATER.... GO FOR A WALK :D AFTER dinner (even if it is only to the mailbox and back) and COUNT THOSE CALORIES!!!!! WE CAN DO IT.....

    Sarge, we will hold down the fort and take the troop on a hike! :rambo

  18. ShoreSexy has only a one (1) pound loss to report but, I did have a 3 1/2 inch loss......... I have been eating food... real food and not using my journal as much....

    I actually went out to a real restaraunt with my Hubby and ate real food.... I had an appetizer, Soup and a prime rib dinner. I had a huge doggy bag but I did sit, eat, enjoy and did not have a PB once!!! I think that is a huge sucess!!!!!! This week is cruch week for me.....

    I have had a bathing suit that I ordered a week after my banding (4 sizes smaller) I actually got it on the other day..... I still need more work but it did slip on without bursting the seams..... Memorial Day is fast approaching and so is bathing suit season..... It's crunch time.......

  21. Status Report: Weight 295 (woo hoo I broke that 300 landmark):clap2: :clap2: Inches -2 but I will put them in my signature next to last week's entry..

    We are on ROR till Sarge gets back from Leave.

    This week is all about the exercise... I ordered a flat bench for weights and it came yesterday. The first exercise is to move the box downstairs and then put it together!!! :mad:

    Keep up all the good work..... everyone!!!!!!

    Drink water.......... sweat...... push for one more min on the walks and one more rep on the exercise.... count your calories.........

    eat as much Protein as you can...... and look in the mirror and admire your work!!!!!:)
