    Spring Bootcamp 2006

    Status Report: Weight 295 (woo hoo I broke that 300 landmark):clap2: :clap2: Inches -2 but I will put them in my signature next to last week's entry.. We are on ROR till Sarge gets back from Leave. This week is all about the exercise... I ordered a flat bench for weights and it came yesterday. The first exercise is to move the box downstairs and then put it together!!! :mad: Keep up all the good work..... everyone!!!!!! Drink water.......... sweat...... push for one more min on the walks and one more rep on the exercise.... count your calories......... eat as much protein as you can...... and look in the mirror and admire your work!!!!!

    Spring Bootcamp 2006

    I am pleased to announce that I have had a 5 (FIVE) lb loss and a 1.5 inch loss this week. :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: :clap2: OMG When I read back in my journal I notice I have made a few changes..... I have been a faithfull journal writer! I even wrote down the piece of Easter Bunny I snatched from the kids basket. Every day has the calories, protein and oz I consumed. :eekB: Another thing I started this week is green tea extract. I was drinking Lipton Diet Green Tea two or three bottles a day, then my nutritionist pointed out that those oz could not be counted because there is caffeine in it!!!!! She suggested that I try the Green Tea Extract (NO caffeine and NO sweeteners) just two droppers in a bottle of water. It doesn't taste bad nor good but the ECGC in the Green Tea without the caffeine and artificial sweeteners is a much better choice. I have also gone back to my Zone Bars (I love the Chocolate Mint ones) and Atkins Shakes for my snacks and inbetweens. I also broke down and bought Skim Plus Milk..... I drink at least two glasses (8oz) a day. The extra protein in the milk, bars and shakes has helped me to make my 1100 calorie, 100 g protein and 100 oz a day goal all week!!!! And guess what it worked.. I havent changed my exersize, I still walk on the treadmill three times a week and use the yoga ball, ring and weights twice... Perhaps I will toy with that this week. My computer is back and So am I !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! GoodBye 300 I will only I have broken thru to the 200 club! I feel like putting tape on the 3key LOL Woo Raaa

    Back on track :clap2: ....... I had a few setbacks...I can't blame the Easter Bunny it is all my fault..... but any who....put your boots back on and MARCH!!!!!!!!!!!! I had my third fill on Friday 4/21 only 1/2 cc but I do notice the difference.. I am proud to report a 4lb weight loss and 4.5 inch volume loss.... WOO RAAAA :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: :biggrin1: My cold is gone, My band is tight, Food is ready for the week, and new sneakers ordered for the treadmill...I will I will I will work hard and get rid of this fat once and for all......:speechles My computer will be delivered on Tuesday and I can get back Full Time!! It feels good to see those numbers go down instead of up LOL Love to all.:kiss2: Jen

I can keep it till tommorrow so in the morning I will submit my measurements...... :help: It has been a tough week.... no restriction.... I am scheduled for my third adjustment on Friday..... I need it bad..... I have 53 email messages I better check out and then off to bed with a cold :sick Nite all!

    Neat..... Ours is more like 4-6 ladies, once a week, and we try to keep on topic and sometimes have some good stuff but we tend to chat and give and ask for advice.."Mike" tries to guide us to talk about issues of addiction and how we allow ourselves to cheat when we know all the consenquences, but it turns to a coffee clutch wich is fun and supportive. Once a month I go to another support group run by our Nutritionist from our Doctors Office. That is a great resource. We have about 25 Lap Banders... I started before my surgery. Interesting how much support there is for us Lapers! I have 200 calories left for today.......... all my Protein in......but I need liquid... I am off to put pj's on with a bottle of Water and a chocolate Royal Atkins Advantage shake... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Have a good night!

    Mandi, YOU LOST 20 LBS IN TWO WEEKS?????? HOW GREAT......... WANT TO KEEP LOOSING WEIGHT?????? CLEAR OUT ALL THE JUNK FROM THE HOUSE AND PUT DOWN THE CUPCAKES!!!!!!!!!! I ate a chocolate lollypop over the weekend.............:faint: Forgive yourself.. Chuck out the crap... and wait and see how good it feels. One of my favorite memories is the day I put my seat belt on with out sucking in my belly!!!!! Every day I buckle up now I feel proud! Get back up on the horse....... It's worth the struggle!     Boy when your fill stops working it is like a light switch........ I swear that on Sunday I was full and could stop eating. Yesterday all of a sudden..... whammo everything was sliding down with no full feeling..... I am scheduled for my third fill on 4/21, until then..... it will have to be all willpower on my own! Hey Teresa, you are going to break that milestone... I know you will,,,, I can't wait till I hit my 60lb mark..... the scale keeps toying me with the last 3-4 pounds.. up and down but I keep hearing the sarge "YOU CAN DO IT." Easter is sooo hard with candy in every store and looking sooooo sweet and smooth.... but if I want to be sweet and smooth I better not eat any. Have a good day all, enjoy this spring weather and get out there and move! :clap2:

    My computer died............... oooo Sorry I haven't checked in.... Brenda I am so sorry that happened to you! That doctor should lie down on the table and let you fill his band with a big old needle! Some times doctors get soooo full of themselves and forget that they are supposed to be there for their patients.... Shame on him! Take it easy and get back your strength girl! Janet and Teresa, I checked out TOPS, never heard of it before... I bookmarked it so I can go back when I have more time.. I learn so many new things from my Lap Band Friends!!! I am so mad. about my computer....:heh: Boot camp started and kablooie!!! I am borrowing my Mommy's laptop till I get the situation under control! Looks like a motherboard... crap crap crap!:faint: Have a good trip Nut! and take care of that cold.... has anyone ever tried that airborn pill they sell? Sorry I won't be able to punch in as often but I have concoured the Water intake each day.. so count my blessings instead of sheep!     Hi, I'm new, surgery scheduled for April 11th

    Welcome Molly! I was sooo nervous, before my surgery,,, But everything worked out fine.... There is lots of support and answers here @LapBandTalk.com If you do the program and make good food choices you will succeed! One thing that I had to realize was that I could have a 3oz serving of a particular food. It wasn't the last serving on earth! There would be plenty left if I wanted more later....... I could eat 16 Doritos count the calories and leave the rest.... I didn't have to fininsh the bag!!!!! Pretty simple but that fact really opened up my way of thinking!!!!!     What R We Eating

    I joined the last Boot Camp (late) but I really enjoyed it!!!! We all punched in with our weights and measurements once a week, and I got some really good advise and pats on the back! It helped me to have another place to record my sucess and keep me going.... It's just a promise to try! Commiting to getting in the Protein, Water, excersise and keeping those calories down.... I also find keeping my Journal very comforting... I put down things like "If my old man doesn't knock off the snoring...." I think Janet put the link in above :clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

    Hey Sam.... my doctor and my nutrition officers both have calculated mine for me...... I never wrote it down.... My girlfriend said they have a machine in her Walmart! Next to the blood pressure machine! I just use measurements and weight..... Thanks Sarge for posting the correct area's to measure and pointing out that I should have the ladies at attention in a bra...... :kiss2: LOL I have been wrapping that tape around my chest..... LOL And do you wear panties to add up your hips and thighs..... I might start doing that too...... any who... Did any one think that they should see a chiropractor????? My posture is a mess!~!! (all that underware helps keep me up) Counting the hours: I will measure and weigh in on Sunday....... I get an extra 3 min in there on the weekend....... Over and Out!!!:clap2: :clap2: :clap2:

    Spring Bootcamp 2006

    Welcome back Sarge! I have been waiting to get back to Boot Camp! I went to my Dr. yesterday. Scheduled third fill for April 21. Today's weight is 310 :scared: that is up three pounds:eek: Crappers!!!!! food choices have been slacking and having trouble getting my Water in! Here is my personal commitment 1. I will drink my 84+ oz of water daily! 2. I will consume 80+ g of Protein daily! 3. I will consume 1000 calories each day! 4. I will do my Isometric exercises daily! 5. I will use my weights on Monday, Wednesday and Friday! 6. I will walk on the treadmill Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday! 7. I will keep my Journal neat and complete! 8. I will shoot for a 2lb - 2inch loss per week! As seen on the local news yesterday " Thin people fidgit and move more than overweight people. Thin people burn an additional 350 - 450 calories daily over overweight people." I have adopted the word movement as my mantra for this Boot Camp! Park further, take the stairs, carry in the groceries by myself and not wait for kids to help, hold my stomach in while driving and sitting, every 30 min I will get up from my desk and stretch! Anything I can do to keep active during normal activities! I WILL DO THIS! I WILL WEAR A BATHING SUIT THIS SUMMER. I WILL CHANGE MY LIFE AND BE A HAPPIER & HEALTHIER ME! I have lost 55lbs so far, I can sit in the white plastic patio chairs without hurting my hip fat! My seatbelt fits without pinching my fat in the clip. I can put my socks on without getting out of breath, and many more little things. Lord, I count my blessings and ask for help bring more my way! Good Luck to all my fellow Boot Campers!
