I am 5 1/2 months post op and I am down 93 lbs since pre-op and 78 lbs since surgery. I was so embarrassed when my CEO said I really needed to stop wearing my big clothes. I immediately went out bought new clothes and gave away my old ones.

2 week stall! Any advice?
Peytonkr replied to Dee2938's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hi Dee. How are you?. You and I had surgery about the same time. I remember you from our September 2019 surgery thread. My surgery date was September 16th 2019 and I have lost 90 lbs so far. I had a two week stall similar to you recently which just broke last week. I even gained 2 lbs in the second week. However in the 3rd week I lost 6 lbs. Go figure. I have read and done so much research on stalls I was not really worried when it happened. I knew it was my body adjusting. The week right before the stall I started exercising and I lost 8 lbs that week. Then came two weeks of a stall and weight gain but I just rode it out and stuck to the plan. Plus I'm sure we are losing inches though its not being reflected on the scale. So when I see a stall I will get excited cause I know a good loss is coming because I normally lose 3 lbs a week on average. Hang in there Dee. Stick with the program and be patient cause you are doing great. Congrats on your weight loss so far. HW 342.8 beg of 2 wk preop liquid diet SW 327.8 Sept 16th 2019 CW 252.2 5 months PO -

I also used Dr. Shillingfird in Florida. He was absolutely awesome. I paid a total of 10k which is all inclusive. Nothing more or less. I would pick him if had to do it all over again. FYI I travelled from The Bahamas.

DRIVING POST OP - what did you do??
Peytonkr replied to New&Improved's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I am 5 and a half weeks post op. Had my surgery on Sept 16. I travelled from the Bahamas to Florida to have my surgery so needless to say I had a rental car which I drove and parked at the hospital. The day I was released I began driving. I did not feel tired at all and I listened to my body which is important. I was also in minimal pain so I was not taking the suggested pain medication every 6 hours. The day I was released I ensured that I did not take any meds until later that evening at the hotel. And I was able to drive every day after that with ease. So I think it was ok for me because I did not drug myself up on pain meds, but like I said it was mainly because I did not need it. Good luck on your surgery. -
Girl you are slaying it. I struggled like heck on my liquid phase so I am sooo proud of you. Keep it up.

Hey guys. I am sooo excited. I weighed in this morning and I am finally back in the two hundreds or as I call it "two-derland". I am 4 and a half weeks post op. Day of surgery I was 327.8 so that's 28 pounds lost since surgery. And at the start of my two week pre-OP liquid diet I was 342.8 so that's 43 pounds lost in 6 and a half weeks. In the beginning I struggled with the limited food choices but now I can eat everything except red meat and raw veggies/salads so it has become much easier. I weigh every single meal I consume and ensure it does not go over 4oz for the entire meal. I do not snack between meals and try not to eat too late. I noticed that since I started eating actual breakfast the weight loss has increased daily. Before I just drank my protein shake as breakfast. So maybe it's because my body needed more calories. I get in around 600-700 calories a day

Hey Linda. I hope you had an excellent surgery day with little to no gas pains or naseau. Whenever you are well enough check in and let us know. I'm so excited for you. You joined the losers bench, you did it๐

OMG. I love him too. He is soooo knowledgable. I follow him relentlessly on YouTube.

Linda, you got this girl. I just kept myself busy during the day and could not wait to eat at night. At nights I was able to have a 3oz chicken breast or salmon and a few ounces of low cal veggies like broccoli. That tasted like heaven to me because initially my surgeon said ONLY liquids. So I was very grateful. So keep pushing.

Hey Linda. Whether the weight comes off fast or slow I have no doubt that you are going to be super successful. I really hope it continues for me as I go back to my very demanding job on Monday.
