very true. :smile: MAN, the one i did tonight...the "trigger" got stuck, before anything was injected, and it made a click noise and finally started to inject, but my pressure caused it to go WHAM! into me, and that hurt lol. stupid syringe. :thumbup: it was a delayed "take off" lol. and yessssss, liquid diet is hard! i am so hungry. its been 16 days of no food so far. i have 11 left. bleh! :smile:

i have the same problem. i had it for a week pre-op, found out i was lactose intolerant, got lactaide milk, was better for a day or 2, problem started again-day before surgery, and as soon as i got home, up until now. still going. lol. =/

the one may hurt because of the metal you are putting in it. some barbells will do that, even though they look the same. do you have surgical stainless steel? you should buy one barbell from a piercer, at a shop, because their stuff is guaranteed to be good, and put it in, as a last chance. last hope. some metals will react differently and mine hurts when i have a certain barbell in, so i just change it and its fine.

yeah, mine is a pill. they requested that we stop it a few weeks before surgery. but...i would think its ok, now, also. i would ask the doctor but that won't be until monday and SUNDAY is the perfect day to start it unless i wait a month and i don't want to do that lol.

they only get hard when.. they are titillated lol. some scents, some visions, thoughts, touches...etc. annnd you can see the jewelry if your bra is thin and your clothes are tight. i have a padded bra LOL. so, no one can see.

here is my pre-op xray. pfft lol. i like the barbells too. they are easy and comfortable.

i have had my nipples pierced for 6 years, come sept. 14th lol. (their bday). had them done as soon as i turned 18, because that is the legal age, for where i am. i did a lot of research and i think it was that 4 or so of the 20+ milk ducts are damaged but you can still breast feed. your nipples will GROW after being pierced and they can take up to a year to fully heal. its better to get them pierced with the rings and thats why most do that for their procedure. the reason is that when you clean them, there is more bar for the nipple to roam, which lets in and out, more soap and takes out the Fluid that secretes from the new piercings. they hurt more, because the crust builds up between cleaning times and if it DOES move, you could drag the crust into the opening on the hole and that is where you have the chance for infection. they suggest to use warm Water to kinda soak the hard stuff off the ring before you clean and drag it through. the actual PIERCING just made me gasp..but one nipple was rejecting my ring, so it was like the worst headach in your life, in one tiny concentrated area. THAT HURT lol. but it was all worth it. i had taken one out, and then had it re-pierced because i didn't feel whole anymore. so the nipple grows, becomes more sensitive, and you can still breast feed. i didn't like my boobs too much before, but having a new place for jewelry made them even more fun, and i collect nipple shields. :lovechoc: i found out that the 1st nipple rings were dated to roman times when men would have rings that suspended their cloaks over their back, to show their masculinity. and even in victorain times, women would show their power and wealth by getting them pierced and having gold rings with gold chain connecting, which they would hang over the front of their dresses. (i would die to have those for my collection) lol. i was really scared, pre-op but i had them out for a few hours and my bf put them back in for me afterwards. (he thought to himself that they were easier to put in when nipples are hard, so he sucked on them and freaked out because they tasted bad LOL, the pre-op shower with hibilens soap. haha, wow. poor guy.) but they were fine, so i may leave them out for an evening and enjoy a different sensation, and put them back in afterwards. in short, DO IT lol. i did it because i wanted to do something daring, different...crazy...outrageous. and it WAS lol. on top of that, you get all the benefits when they are healed. i'd totally get them re-pierced. i miss the sensations and random tingles when they are fresh. they make you laugh out loud and blush and no one knows why.

this is 1 day post op. lol. eek. and i have 6.

i am the same, but i got banded yesterday lol. i feel so grosssssss and there is so much air that its hard to move, and sharp pains everywhere. i have the air in my lower stomach and try to burp it up, but it puts pressure under the band and hurts and i can only burp once in a while. i have the gas-x but only had 3 today. (strips). i am going to try to get some sleep. good to know that this might be common. i've barely had anything, some bites of Jello and some broth, but tomorrow i have to start the shakes again. i haven't gotten enough Water. feel sick. bleh. anyways, hope we feel better! <3

well, i haven't gotten banded yet, but i am 17 lbs down and i can bend a lot easier lol! my bf helped me realize this. glad for that, and excited to know that it will all get better! <3

oh wow, i know what you mean LOL. i had been chewing gum and my bf went to kiss me and asked where my altoids were. ! :thumbup: i was like.. *gasp* NOTHING WORKS???? lol. so pathetic. now i can't wait to get back to normal. well, better normal. :laugh:

i was in the store with my bf and he did a double take after he kissed me and then smelled his breath, and i said.. "was it me?" and he said "i don't know...breath on me" and i said..."are you SURE??? what if it IS ME? u wanna do that?" and he said "hurry up, someone is coming!" lol...so i did a huff and run and he SAID NOTHING. lol. he finally admitted that it was my breath and it smelled BAD. LOL woooooow. does this have to do with the liquid diet? losing weight???? LOL. i am so scared, i haven't done anything differently in my hygienic life!! lol. i even brushed my teeth before i came to see him! jeezuus. LOL. please...tell me its NOT me and this isn't going to happen forever lol. i immediately pulled out some gum and bought mini altoids. damn it~! lol. i am on day 6 of the liquid diet annnnd i have lost like.. 18 lbs. any help is appreciated!! i feel nautious...is this normal? like...borderline "time to throw up" and i haven't had anything in the last few hours. i had my 3 "meals" of liquid today. granted...they grossed me out, but i got them down. why am i sick now? :wink2: i drank Water because my head hurts and now i feel like getting rid of all of it. (throw it up). this is my 1st DAY lol. i just wanna cry. LOL. i feel so gross.:crying:

wow i got moved up because of my insurance expiring on my bday. lol. SEPTEMBER 3rd :biggrin: !! so scared lol.

i am going through st. joseph's hospital in orange county. the people are great...but you can never get a hold of them. i've wasted all day trying to call 3 diff. people and i have spoken to one woman for one minute and she said to call her back. i've called 10+ x and the receptionist says "shes with a patient" "shes on the phone" "another patient just stepped in" "shes still on the other line" "can you call back in 10 minutes" , then i did...then "can you call back in another 10 minutes" .. then i did..then "can you call back in 20 minutes?" (which put the time at 4:57 pm...) so i did. and she said "she's with another patient...can i have her call you back?" ...........WOOW. lol. so, the woman i am trying to reach..IS the receptionist of my surgeon. and she is ignoring me, right? i am a patient. i called before the patients who showed up mid day...afternoon, and then evening! lol. * my insurance ends on my bday, which is surgery day.* so...i can't do it unless they can move it up, or confirm that "cobra" insurance will cover my bday DAY. so i am freakingggggg out. lol. day 3 of liquid diet with lactose, being lactose intolerant. i have to return it and start a new system. but that means i have to get a hold of the receptionist...that i am scared of because she won't talk to me and tonight is my last meal without "opening" another box, that i need to return. (7 meals per box) :thumbup: .. $100 for the 4 boxes i need to return. and thats... a week and a half. i guess. woman who said "don't hesitate to call if you ever have any questions" hasn't answered my calls. the leader of the program hasn't returned my call. the dietitian hasn't returned any of my messages. :cool2: is this normal? is it always this hard, during a critical time, not to get a hold of an entire program? lol. now i have to get ready for class and hope that the receptionist doesn't "grace" me with her call while i am in class.

thank you guys for the advice. the lady called me back at 6. lol. she said i am PENDING surgery for the 3rd, but its in the directors hands. i am supposed to go to pre-op planning class, but that's on the 4th. LOL. not too awsome. but maybe she can help me with that. i will be sure to keep tabs on the COBRA payment. thank you guys very much, and i should know in the morning about my date. =/ yikes. but thank you guys. <3
