You look terrific! -
I agree that the lack of weight loss is most likely the 3 week stall. Also, you will feel like crap while you are healing. You are doing everything right. Just give your body time to heal, rest when you need to!

I am worried too, I checked the other day to see when she had been here last and it was December. I hope she is doing alright also, I valued her posts and experience!

HELP! I MESSED UP ;(
Lynda486 replied to angelamr1617's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It should dissolve in time I would think. -
Mine has just begun to fall out and I am almost 6 months. If I remember correctly after my first surgery it didn't last very long and no terrible effect on my looks.

This looks delish, how big is this? Is the cracker the size of a saltine? -
I look nowhere as beautiful as Greentealae, but here I am hanging out at home today.

Great idea! I wish I had thought of doing that.

If they sent you home with the little machine you blow into, keep that up! SOB not something to mess with. I ended up having pleurisy 3 weeks out.

Medical marijuana card
Lynda486 replied to Elisa Maria's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
It is medicine and that is how I treat it. I would no more take this before driving or going to work than I would if it were an opiod pain killer. Jake, do you make your own oil? -

Medical marijuana card
Lynda486 replied to Elisa Maria's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I also have my card and the medical community is not so accepting yet. I was going to a pain clinic and they would cost me an arm and a leg with the constant testing they do. I talked to the shrink there and he really is in favor of Medical, but the government ties the hands of hospitals and clinics and won't permit them to work with medical marijuana patients. In fact when I saw my primary DR last week she flat out lied and said she could not give me the pain patch she prescribed me before (which is not even addictive, "buprenorphine patch", which is used in place of opiods and was just featured on the show New Amsterdam) She told me the government prohibits Dr's from prescribing any pain medication. She must not know that I work in a DR's office! But, it never came up for my WLS, and no one tested me. -
I also went through a spell where I was bitchy and depressed. I could cry at the drop of a hat. It did go away, just your body and mind trying to adjust!

I had some blood work Monday and was so excited to see my cholesterol levels! Total Cholesterol 175 < 200 200 HDL 65 > 40 52 LDL 96 < 100 124 Triglycerides 70 < 150 116 the numbers in the middle are what they should be and the numbers to the right are from October 2019

Don't freak yourself out ( easier said than done, I know) Last year they found a mass on my kidney as well. I have a a Bosniak type IIF cyst on my left kidney which they say they don't need to watch, even though it is half the size of my kidney. Anyway, please let us know what they find out and I will pray for you in the meantime. Hugs! -

Thank-you so much, I can't wait to try them! -
I agree there are so many reasons people may not say a thing. My husband took awhile to say anything to me, and that was the one I cared about the most. My oldest son saw me for the first time since Thanks giving and was asking his Dad if I was okay and he knows about my surgery! Last night at an auction, I had a woman that I see a few times a year, she came straight to me and said you have lost a lot of weight, how did you do it because I need to. So, I explained my illness and surgery. She is Amish so I am sure she wont go this route. But, like AJ said I am doing this for me. I am sure people noticed and if they want to compliment me I will take it, but it won't break me if they don't mention it.
