  1. I woke up yesterday with so much dizziness that I had trouble walking. Last night I checked my BP as I normally do and it was 71/49. I did not take my blood pressure meds this morning. Anyone else have this happen? Sent from my SM-J727V using BariatricPal mobile app

  5. I have been trying to us My Fitness Pal to track my diet, but it won't save my entries because I am at 800 or less calories a day at this stage. The most I can do as of now is see my current day and go from there. Any tips?

Best exercise routines -100+ lbs weight loss?

I picked up a series of Richard Simpsons videos when I had my VBG in 1998. I switched them around and did one everyday along with walking 2 miles a day. I wasn't too far out from my surgery when I started.

    Day 2

Good morning! May I suggest getting up every hour and just walking around the house for a few minutes. This helps to pass the gas and will help you with the pain as well. I wasn't good at doing this and my pain lasted three weeks. As far as getting the water and protein down, just take sips, and then wait and then repeat. I have been using a marked water bottle that really helps get my water in. If you continue to have trouble keeping anything down I would contact your surgeons office and let them know. They may have you go in for a swallow test, or something. Best of luck on your journey!
  17. I have been relying on comfy clothes to get by. My first day back to work I wore a long sleeve t-shirt and black work out pants. I can wear jeans now, so when I go somewhere it is jeans. I happened to save my smaller clothes, so I should be okay for awhile.

    Where's everyone from :)

Hello Tank184, I'm from MO also!
  20. The struggle is very much real! I ended up buying a water bottle that tells you to drink up and has measurements on it to show what you have drank so far. It has helped, but there are times where I lose track and find myself behind on my water and really you can't catch up, or can you? I was told that I need to eat every 2 to 3 hours even if I am not hungry. Even that is hard for me. I know this phase will end, and soon we will be on to other challenges in our journey!

    Blood pressure 71/49

First of all I want to thank you all for your replies and concerns. We were without power after a major storm Monday morning so I didn't see your replies until this morning. After skipping my BP meds yesterday, today my BP is 109/71. I have already sent a note to my regular DR, who I see Thursday. I am still a little dizzy but so much better. Since I couldn't cook yesterday I spent the day getting in more liquids. I plan to concentrate on liquids again today! Again, thanks for your support and caring ways! Lynda

    Losing the old me

I am pretty sure you won't lose the old you. What you will lose is bad eating habits! I was nervous also, but 4 weeks out I feel like everything will be fine!
