Usually WLS patients tend to stall around week 3 to 4. I did for sure. Make sure you are getting your water in and walking. I am 10 weeks out and I started upping my calories as best I could. I am still only getting from 400 to 775 a day. I am concentrating on getting my water and protein in.

Please call your surgeons office for advice. Let us know what you find out please! -
I also lost my gall bladder during my surgery. They also removed most of my stomach. I had not felt sick until the weeks prior to my surgery when I was a tad nauseous and losing weight.

One week post-OP with two complaints

I recommend taking your measurements. It helped me out tremendously when the scale wasn't moving much. Turned out I had lost 27 inches! -
I went through the emotional part also, I think it is common. Our hormones surely are altered and all that comes with a surgery like this can cause someone to be emotional. Hugs to you both!

I am so glad you are healing so nicely. When I had my TT one of my drains was filling to quickly and ended up back at the hospital one evening for emergency surgery. So glad you had success! -
Good morning and welcome to the group! I am a faller, I fall a lot in fact last night I fell, grrrr. I am hoping that improves as I lose weight. Like you I have a very similar water bottle but on a 32 ounce bottle. It does help me get my water in! Nice to meet you!

Chicken was a problem for me also when I had my sleeve. It did get better in the years that followed. I have had chicken thighs and they do go down well.

What are you doing before your surgery?
Lynda486 replied to JRT Mom's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Because of my first surgery in 1998 I still had restriction so I never had a pig out party for myself even though I kind of wanted one. I did go have a margarita the night before my pre op diet. I have also not been telling myself that I can never have a certain food, only it will be later. Except soda, I had given that up a few months prior to surgery. -
I will probably have to take something for life due to a pain patch I wear that is really constipating. I currently take 2 Colace in the morning and an 8 ounce glass of crystal lite with Benifiber. Also the occasional Milk of Mag. and yet I only go 2 to 3 times a week.

Can't stand the taste of crushed meds

Day 2 in the hospital I was taking pain medicine in a tablet form. I never had too much issue with my meds once I got home. -
First day home - it hurts. How long?
Lynda486 replied to JTSC's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
It's an individual thing. People who get up and walk around seem to be pain free sooner. I had the same issue with gas and water gain, horrible pain! -

Post op healing - How long till I can return to work?
Lynda486 replied to RachaelEM's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had my surgery 9/16, was in the hospital until 9/20 due to complications. I run the front half of non profit medical clinic so I am up and down all day (But only one day a week). I ended up going back to work on October 9th, and it was a little early for me but I got through it. I think it is an individual thing. A lot of things fit into the equation, like age, weight, type of surgery, and individuals pain tolerance etc. I wish you the best on your journey! -

Weight loss slowed, focusing on non-scale victories

My NSV is that I can once again wear a jacket that hasn't come close to fitting me in 3 years. I am also celebrating that scale is moving again. -
Is something wrong? I feel like I didn’t even get sleeved ... can eat and drink
Lynda486 replied to BQT's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I had the same worry until I went to the regular diet. Now I can feel restriction, just not where I thought I would feel it. I eat by measuring my food, now I can eat between 1/2 cup and 3/4 cup. I also use https://www.myfitnesspal.com/ to log all my food and exercise. You've got this! -

Week 3 Post VSG Troubles
Lynda486 replied to KingArena29's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I woke up one day and I felt the way you have been feeling. I checked my BP and it was crazy low: 70/49. I contacted my Dr and she had me discontinue them immediately. For some reason a lot of people go off their BP meds soon after surgery. Let us know what you find out Tuesday! -
