Food Before and After Photos
Lynda486 replied to GreenTealael's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Breakfast today, sorry no leftovers -
Oh no, I fall enough as it is! I have been falling for a couple years, when I was in for my surgery the nurses kept asking me how I got the injury to my leg, seemed like they didn't believe me. As for Vertigo, I get it a few times a year for the past 10 years. It is no fun!

Ha, me too! (54)

Fluffychick, I am so happy to hear that this haggard look might go away. I had a neighbor tell me I needed to go home and rest that I looked so tired! 😊

I spend time in nature every day. I will start doing meditation each day, I have the "Calm" app on my phone. 1. My personal goal is to get into an exercise routine, I love yoga! 2. I had a revision from a Vertical Banded Gastroplasty to a RYN. 3. My weight has stalled at 186 and my BMI is 30 4. My favorite winter activity used to be baking breads and cookies, guess I will find something to replace it!

I made Turkey Tetrazzini tonight. A regular recipe for my husband. Mine had zoodles instead of noodles. He didn't even know it was fat free soup!

What percent of your stomach do they take out?
Lynda486 replied to Ninja-slash-nerd's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I am an exception, they took my stomach because it's terrible condition, so all I have left is the pouch. They also took my gall bladder which was a surprise to wake up to. -

First Post Sleeve Thanksgiving Meals?
Lynda486 replied to InterceptorNYC's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Mostly I had turkey, but I also had a small spoon of green bean casserole, Sugar free sweet potato casserole (not the best), mashed potatoes/gravy, and stuffing. I ended up eating a spoon of each. Then and hour later I had 2 bites of pumpkin pie with sugar free whipped topping. Oh, and we all had a glass of stout craft beer (barley any carbonation, I didn't even burp lol) Hope everyone had a great day! -
The reason you are not feeling restriction is that what you are eating/drinking are slider foods meaning they go right through your pouch. Once you are onto eating a more solid diet you will begin to feel the restriction. Hope that helps!

I like www.myfitnesspal.com It is a free app that you can upgrade to a paid service. I use the free one for now. It is pretty easy to use also!

Really Enhanced Turkeys for Thanksgiving
Lynda486 replied to AJ Tylo's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
We raised our own Turkeys one year, they lived in the coop with the chickens. I think they thought they were chickens. They are very entertaining and tasty! -
Insurance and body lift ... IT'S A JOKE
Lynda486 replied to damzelindistres5's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
My TT was completely covered by insurance. Guess that was lucky! -
I have noticed a few posts on clothing recently and wonder if it would be possible to set up a clothing swap forum? Or if it would even be feasible?

Years ago when I had my VBG I started out exercising to Richard Simmons videos, they are fun, goofy and they get you moving. All I did after that surgery was walk 2 miles a day and then one of Richards CD's. Well, I have decided that today is the day. I actually feel really good for the first time since surgery so out came my dancing shoes. Wish me luck!

I have been married for 28 years (on Leap Day) This is the second time we have gone through this and I would say we are stronger than ever. My husband weighs 135/140, and very active. He bought us a tandem bike and we plan to take advantage of the trails here in Missouri next year.

11 1/2 weeks and stalled... but....
Lynda486 replied to momof3_angels's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I am going to really concentrate on getting my water in. I know it could mean I will eat less. Right now I drink a 10 oz. cup of coffee, a 16 oz. glass of crystal light (with Benefiber) first thing in the morning. I am getting to the point that I get some pain (fullness) if I drink to fast, so it is hard to hydrate!
