Glad you are home! -
I wore he same thing home that I wore to the hospital. I brought my phone and my toothbrush. I, like Catwoman, slept most of the time and only used my phone twice. I was in from Monday morning to Friday morning.

THE SLOW LOSERS CLUB SUPPORT THREAD
Lynda486 replied to Serengirl's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You are not alone! You had your surgery 12 days before me and I am also a slow loser. I am down 50, so it's around 14 a month on average which I could never maintain prior to surgery. My most recent nutritionist visit she practically told me to double my calories a day ( I did not) But I do get to 800 a couple days a week, and the scale has been moving, but slow. Maybe try adding an extra 100 calories a day and see what that does for you? If you get the scale moving again (and you will) let me know what you did to help things along! -
I have eight scars and haven't treated them at all and they are fading fast!

Congrats on hitting your goal!

Weighed myself this morning and finally hit my first mini goal of 50 pounds down! It took awhile, but I did it! Happy New Year all!

I take 2 Colace every morning. And sometimes I have to take something else. Once you get your liquids up it will be easier to manage. I plan to take the Colace for as long as I need. Good luck!

Supplement’s and strengths needed for post menopausal gastric bypass patients
Lynda486 replied to polishanita's topic in Protein, Vitamins, and Supplements
I am 54 and menopausal. I switched to One a Day for my multi after I finished my initial Barimelts multi. I may switch back, but would like to see my first labs before I do. I also take Biotin, a cit-rate calcium (chewable, twice a day) and an under the tongue vitamin B , and I may add a seperate B 12 even though there is some in my other Vit B. -

Funny! -
Yay you!!!
-
Oh no! I have BCBS and they would only cover 20,000 total of my surgery. I am waiting for a huge bill to show up and I haven't even had labs done yet! Hope you get this figured out. Can you let me know if running it under a different code helps? Good luck!

Stuck in a Plateau for Three Months
Lynda486 replied to Carmen Pena's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Wow congrats on getting the scale moving again. I have been losing so very slow, and it is frustrating. I lose, I go up a pound then I come down again. I have one re pound until I get to 50 pounds gone. It does just take time and patience! -
So how much sleep did you get the night before surgery?
Lynda486 replied to Slimming Down Steve's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Good luck to all having surgery today! I don't actually remember the night before surgery, but I usually do a bit of tossing and turning the night before. I know you were not asking me but I am in the state next door to you. See you on the other side! -
So how fast after your surgery did your taste for food change?
Lynda486 replied to Slimming Down Steve's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I may have to buy a pitcher as well, I drink bottled water and feel bad about the plastics! As far as food after surgery, once I got to soft or my reg diet everything tastes so good that I actually moan sometimes with eating. This also happened after my first wls too . Nothing has changed as far as what I like or don't like though. -
Don’t know how to take it
Lynda486 replied to Isabelmonster's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow you have been through the wringer with your liver. Mine numbers have been up since 2017 after a back surgery and I was told it was normal after extensive bone surgery. However, they have never gone back to normal. I am hoping that it was my gallbladder and when I get my next blood work back it will have improved. With all the improvements you have made your liver should be thanking you! -
I hope you are feeling better! Let us know please!

Travelling on an 18 hr flight 6 weeks post op- anyone done it?
Lynda486 replied to Nicky6's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
I agree that you should plan to get up and move frequently while in flight. You might call the airline and talk them about dietary issues. They usually are happy to accommodate a special diet. Hope you have a good trip! -

How much soup is too much soup...?
Lynda486 replied to justsleeveeverythingtome's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Liquids tend to go right on through. When you get to the solid food stage is when you will start to feel restriction.
