Hi,
My weight has always fluxuated throughout my life. I've been considered chubby to pleasantly plump to average size to athletically shaped, to obese to morbidly obese. I went through the WLS process and was approved in 2004, yet I chickened out at the last minute. One of my biggest regrets. I was able to lose most of the weight on my own through diet and exercise. In 2009 I began a new relationship and things were really great and then not so great for a long time. My health started to deteriorate along with my self esteem. I suffer from asthma and I'm prescribed steroids which causes weight gain. I have sleep apnea and high blood pressure. I had a hysterectomy several years ago and then a couple years later knee surgery. Last November I had my gall bladder removed. It was the same surgeon that asked if I had ever considered WLS. I explained my story to him and he said I was a perfect candidate for it and that leads me to where I am now. December 2018 I weighted 305. Today is July 4th and I weigh 275. My sleeve surgery is scheduled for 7/31/19. My relationship is in a much better place now, we understand, respect and love each other more than ever! It's a healthy relationship.
I'm so excited and ready to start my new journey as a healthier new me!!
