Yes. Mine was postponed 1 week. I was supposed to have it 7/12/19 but insurance asked for something additional. At 1st I was upset but it was for the best because I honestly needed that additional week to calm my nerves and get my s^%# together. I’m going in tomorrow 6:00 a.m. Try not to worry too much. The hospital usually know how to work with the ins.

I started going to therapy once I decided on the surgery. I have found out many reasons why I obsess about food & eating. I’m also working on my goals going forward & what I want my life to look like & how to not regain the weight. It’s the best!

Hang on ladies & gents ! My surgeon warned me about feeling depressed after surgery. It can be one of the byproducts initially. This too shall pass & it will. I was on a thread last night on FB & 95% of the people said they’d do the surgery again in a heartbeat. The 1st 2 months can be filled with almost regret but then.... IT PASSES!!!!

Got my date!!! August 19th
Chiptress replied to TravMac's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Tomorrow is the big day & I feel ready & excited. Things have begun to change within me since I began this journey. Slowly I’ve started to regain some of my lost self esteem. Committing to the surgery alone ... making a commitment to myself has brought back in me a sense of self love which has been missing from my life for several years. I’m very reflective this morning because I know I’m embarking on a new life. One that I’m excited about . Best of luck to all my surgery twins! We’ve got this!!!! -

Can you add in flavorless protein powder into eggs, cottage cheese, beans etc? It was suggested to me to put the protein into a little warm water... let it melt then add into whatever I’m making -

Omg that’s funny!!! It’s great to see that eventually we can live a life that’s disciplined but still have so much fun & enjoying ourselves while doing it. That’s my goal eventually. I’ve been so rigid & serious because of this dumb weight & the health issues that I’ll really welcome living life to the fullest (within moderation) once again. Enjoy every minute of your vacation!!! -

I discontinued my WW membership as well. I’m now using the free “Baritastic “ app. It will scan labels like WW app. Now I just have to get used to the micros of what I’m aiming for in a day post-op. How many carbs, how much protein, how much fat etc. Since that’s the way we did WW I think I’ll find that the easiest way. Try the Baritastic app. You might find it helpful -
What a beautiful outfit & you look marvelous in it!

Welcome! Qualifying for surgery is based on your BMI... looks like you’re in the neighborhood of 42 which means you should qualify. Be sure to discuss this with your medical team. Ask questions . Let them know your concerns. Try not to worry about being denied until/unless that happens. Praying that all goes smoothly for you. Search the different topics on this site. Keep reading & learning! You can learn more about BMI here https://www.smartbmicalculator.com/result.html?unit=1&hf=5&hi=3&wl=235&us=1&ua=58&ue=0&gl=125&di=2&dt=2
