Starting weight 200 or less get vsg???
Lightnbreezy replied to Milaa's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Yay!!! Congratulations!! Yes, I was interested as well, since I had heard that I'd probably lose at a slower rate because I my BMI was less. I do think though that cutting out processed food, sugar, white breads and pastas (actually bread in general), soda and caffeine has helped a lot too. I'm not cleared for exercise until the 25th but I walk, and have done some hiking. I'm so excited for you!! This surgery has been the best thing I've ever done for myself, by far!!! I already feel amazing!! Please keep in touch and I'd be happy to answer any questions you have!!! -

I was self pay and went to Mexico for mine. Surgery was 6/12/19. I'm 5'3 and was 199. My bmi was 34.9, high BP and cholesterol. A little over a month out and I'm 169. I did a two week pre op diet and a liquid diet for two weeks after. I feel 100% better! I've removed all processed foods, caffeine, soda, all white potatoes, pasta and sugar from my diet. Good luck! -
How do you have your coffee?
Lightnbreezy replied to shellyk018's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wow! I wondered if anyone else had lost their taste for coffee after the surgery! I was addicted to coffee before! Now I can take it or leave it!! I've removed caffeine from my diet and I can say I feel better! -
Dr. Alberto Michel Tijuana

I had a great experience in Mexico. I used ALM in Tijuana, Dr. Miguel Montalvo. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, before and after my surgery. The resort we stayed in was extremely nice and they even took us sight seeing and gift shopping! I highly recommend them. You will also be able to bring a companion at no extra charge. Give Janese Pitcher over there a call. It's been one month since my surgery and I've already lost almost 30 pounds. I feel great! -
Nicotine blood test
Lightnbreezy replied to Camiladeleon's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I didn't have to have a nicotine test, We were told we could use e-cig. I use a juul. I haven't had any issues and quit regular cigarettes about two years ago. Feel 100% better. I don't even crave cigarettes anymore, the smell makes me nauseous. -

Hello! You can call ALM in San Diego. Surgery is done in Tijuana, MX. I had my sleeve done there and they're excellent! In fact, there was a gentleman there having just that done while I was there. He was doing great after day 2! I think you'll also find their prices about half of what it costs here and you get to stay in a 5 star resort after the procedure! The contact's name is Janese, phone number is 714-516-8193. Email janese@ALM.com Good luck!!
