Thanks so much moonbeam277. I tried not wearing it today and I immediately could tell the difference in my movements. Back on it goes :) -
Revision of RNY
2ndTimeFreedom replied to Notthe1sttime's topic in Revision Weight Loss Surgery Forums (NEW!)
Thank you so much for posting. I am the first person that I have known to get a revision done. How much weight did you shed after the revision? This is amazing! -
Sending you positive vibes and I am praying everything was great.

So sorry your acids levels were off the charts. However, happy that revisional surgery is an option. I know you will do great. I am day two post-op and doing great. I still am waiting two weeks to weigh myself as I know I was probably dumped with fluids and I feel bloated. How long will you have to wait for a surgical date? -

@Lynnlovesthebeach that’s the reasoning she gave me. I’ve found my spend full body suit with only medium firmness is doing the trick and not bothering my dermabond over my incisions. -
Had surgery 6/24. Lost 21 pounds so far - can someone tell me how long it took to lose your weight?

That’s what I figured. But I was given one to reduce swelling. Which I thought was odd! Thank you so much for the reply -
Revision of RNY

@LostFound21 - it was exactly 6.5 months. My insurance company required a six month supervised diet. For me this was different as it was not required the first time. Everyone I am getting discharged today. Operation went great. Doctor did tell my husband the only reason it took a bit longer was because of the way the original surgery and anatomy placement was different that they were used to???? Then he said we simply do it different in NY. I suspect it was also because it was 10 years old also. Nonetheless I made it. Vital signed are stable. BLood pressure and heart rate are on the low side but honestly that is my norm. BP is 95/63 HR 57 — again my baseline even pre surgery. So I’m ok. Zero pain and only took IV Tylenol a few time after surgery. Up walking every two hours. I can not wait to go home today. -

Day one post op!! Revision RNY Surgery went great yesterday. I am in zero pain. I’ve only taken IV Tylenol. Team is a little freaked with my low BP and low HR but typically this is my baseline. Discharge today after upper GI and advancement of food. -

I am headed in for my revision surgery today. I am not sure the DS was offered to me. Instead, he is going to reduce my pouch and my stoma size. Ia m so looking forward to being in your boat with progressive weight loss after. It is great to hear you have zero complications after. How long was your revision surgery? -

How supportive was your GP?
2ndTimeFreedom replied to TattooedSeaStar's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If your current document has documented today's weight, then all you need to do is request a copy of your medical records. You can then take that to another doctor for your next appointment, and your "clock" will not start over. Many patients do this when switching both doctors and surgeons. I am so sorry this is happening to you, sending you love and support. You could also see and AMAZING Nurse Practioner (I am so biased) who could also follow you for the medically supervised diet. -
Yes! Way to go to you both. SO happy everything went great!!!!

I had my Gastric Bypass reversed 😞
2ndTimeFreedom replied to Alex Brecher's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
Oh my, dear!!! I am so sorry to see this Happy that you are indeed alive and able to tell this story. So I understand how they reconnected your original anatomy, and again I am happy that you are ok. Have you noticed any changed in what you are about to eat in terms of quantity? Additionally, you may also have the best tool (shift in eating habits) firmly established and will prayerfully continue to be healthy & happy. Many prayers to you!! -
You LOOK AMAZING! Way to go

Surgery is now 5 days away. I am down 20lbs with the Pre-Op Liquid diet. I finished all my hospital pre-surgical testing & paid my ($750 deductible & $250 copay yesterday ). Four more days of this liquid diet and one day of clear liquids and then off to surgery I go. It appears I will have a 1-night hospital stay and then I am gone. What a process this has been!!!! The only thing I am truly feeling sad about is not picking up my baby for 1 month That she will not understand (2 years old) but as long as I can have someone hand her to me I will be ok (I pray). Sending everyone strength and prayers!!! I am getting myself mentally ready for the 4 weeks of eating post-surgery.

This is the most amazing news! Way to go. This also gives me hope as I am not taking too much time off work. I know everyone handles pain/surgery differently but hearing 6 days out w/o pain is completely great!!!!!!

I have you lifted in prayers! I am so excited for you.
