Hello all I have been banded for a year and have lost 77pounds so far.. My partner of three years told me over the weekend that he wanted to part ways as he liked me better before the operation.. He thinks i have "changed".. I havent.. I have checked with family and friends..... They say i have a higher self confidence... but nothing else has changed... I dont talk about my band unless somene ask's me. I dont brag about weight loss or anything..... What to do?? Im so sad....

Hi guys Long time no post!! I have had my surgery (19th June 2008) and have lost 22kg Thing is i have just had a fill last week and i find i get full really quick but cant get rid of the full uncomfortable feeling.... Im at work and feeling terrible..... Any tips to help!!! Nicole

HI guys Well i had my surgery last Thursday (Its Sunday now) so thats 3.5 days.. Im ok, just a little sore at the port site and get sore standing up for long periods... Things im not sure about are - Im not really drinking much as im not thirsty. I had a milk drink tonight and could only drink about 100mls before i was uncomfortable!! It takes me an hour to drink a small V8 box. Is this normal? I try to sip Powerade all day to keep me hydrated. I havent tried anything but, powerade, up and go drinks, and V8. Im scared to drink to much - is this normal? My Dr has instructed 4 weeks clear, 4 weeks mushy... AGH!!! Nic

Thanks guys, im 6 days out now and getting a V8 in ok and a drinking yogurt as well as water!! Ive lost 7kgs already!!!

Hello Well its 7 days till i get banded !!!! (19.06.08) And i am after a list of things i will need!! So far i have A juicer A blender and have cleaned the house of food..... Any ideas? I need to shop this weekend!! Cheers!!!

Hi guys Im having trouble with the thought of "after" surgery!! I have been flooded with informatino about the actual surgery and what the band does and fills etc, but im having a bit of trouble with the thought of "being on my own" to work out the food part of the band... Does this make sense?

Excellent guys!! My Mum lives in Melbourne and im in Tasmania so no Mummy... Some of the things i think are American so will have to ask my Doc for Australian type meds etc.. THANKS - Keep the ideas coming.

My doctor dosnt do the pre op Optifast (thank god)!! Only to patients over a BMI of 60... GLAD!! I just brought a juicer and blender!!

Hello all Just wanted to clear a few things up... Im new and on my way to having a band!! I just wanted to know what exactally is classified as "fluid" on the post op fluid diet? And how do i get a ticker table"?? And whats a PB? Ta!!
