Lies to tell people about what surgery I am having
brittanyatwalsh replied to a topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
Wow, thanks for your inspiration. I was also banded - I was banded in 2005 and removed in 2018 due to a slippage. I told myself I wouldn't get another bariatric surgery but here I am with the sleeve! I had lost about 70lbs on the band initially then gained it all back plus some. When I had the band removed, I continued to gain more weight so that is why I decided to go forward with the sleeve. Hopefully this process goes by smooth and quickly. You'll have to let me know when you get a date set! -

Unsure of my weight, but this was a Christmas card - It said "Merry Christmas from Brittany, Just Brittany" -

So you haven't even had the surgery yet! I used the same excuse- Keto diet during my pre-op diet. How long have you been on a pre-op diet for? I find it so odd how long it takes for the approvals from insurance. I feel like mine was done in no time. I'm not worried about the kids, I'm more concerned with the other staff members. I teach in a very toxic environment- A teacher might come to you being supportive but behind your back she will say very mean things. -
When I get that hunger pang (I'm only 2 days post op) I take one of those muscle spasm pills and it helps me feel better. Glad to know I'm not the only one who is hungry right now, and I'm hoping it goes away with puree like some f you suggested!

brittanyatwalsh replied to delfie's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I was just sleeved on Monday and was told by my doctor that an elevated heart rate is a sign of a leak, especially if accompanied by a temperature above 101.00 - Do you have a temperature? -

Hey, teacher here too, sleeved over the summer!!! I've told my two best friends who also work in the district, and one of them actually took me for my surgery. Any ideas on what to say to the rest of them when August comes? -

Good idea with the pillow on your stomach! The spasms / hunger pangs haven't been as bad today as they were yesterday so that is a plus for me. I'm moving every half hour or so. Unless I'm napping. My goal is to walk outside by the weekend because so far I have only been in the house. How has your entire experience been so far? What are you eating for your puree? -
