Im glad I found this thread, I have dial up internet so I'll be lucky to see all the threads in the next year:phanvan . However, Im just starting out, and looking down a loooong road:eek: . My banding date is set for May 26:clap2: , I wish it was sooner. I weighed in a 347 lbs:omg: , with a BMI of 58!!! My goal is 150 lbs. That means I need to lose 197 lbs, Is this even possible:confused:? I havent seen all the threads yet, but is there someone out there, who's done it, I would love to hear from you:ear: .

What great advice Susan! The liver thing you were talking about snapped me out of it!! Also, I can really understand what you meant about having hope with the band. Now that I have a date set and moving towards my new life, I'm so excited and HOPEFUL!!

I'd like to here from Crazycanuck and anyone else banded by Dr. Cobourn. How was your experience? I have a meeting set up with him for the end of March.I have to say I'm really nervous about the procedure, but excited that this could be the answer, finally!!

Hi Argon. My appointment with Dr. Cobourn is March 27th, so I'll miss you by a couple of days. I would sure love to here how your surgery day goes. I'm terrified of surgery! I just booked my consultation with Dr. Coburn, I'll be seeing him the end of March. I've heard good things about him. Anyone heard anything about long term effects. I'm very excited about getting banded, hoping to be banded before summer!My present weight is about 330 lbs. I would love to hear from anyone else, what there going through, etc...I'm not exactly sure how to work this website very good yet.
