What Canadians are up for a challenge? I'm thinking the month of August, lets set some goals. I'm not a computer person, but someone could keep track of everyone joined up. Lets get some ideas going this week. What do ya say Canada?:canada:

So I had my first fill about 3 1/2 weeks ago. I initially lost 10 lbs quite quickly and then a couple more, all inside of about 2 and a bit weeks. When I wake up I always have 1 cup of coffee, then right up to about 2 or 3 in the afternoon I'm not really comfortable with much (I feel quite a bit of restriction) I usually opt for yogurt and berries or cereal, something that goes down easy. But by about 4-5 I start to get really hungry. I can eat a full plate of food( alot more than a cup). But way less than before I was banded. But I seem to be hungry right up to bedtime and can eat just about anything. So does anyone know whether I need a fill or not? Why am I SO restricted for half the day and NOT the other? If I call my surgeon, they'll just see that I'm down in weight and may not give me one, even though it happened within the first couple of weeks, any suggestions out there would be of great help!! Thank - you:)

I don't even know what your talking about:angel: .

that dosent seem like much food to me, or compared to me. Let's see, today I had a coffee at 8:00, egg salad sandwich at 10:00, egg salad on a tortilla wrap (but only ate half, I was sick of it) at 1:30,and for dinner tonight at 6:00 I had 2 corn on a cob, 1/2 a piece of chick parm, and 1/2 a tortilla wrap with a few peices of chicken breast wrapped in it. I'm satisfied right now but I bet I'll want to eat more around 8:00, we'll see. Last night for dinner I ate 3 chicken fingers, 1 scoop of corn and 1 scoop of pasta salad. These dinners just seem to be alot of food for someone who is banded, don't they? However they pale in comparison to what I would have ate a couple months ago:faint: . I'm not really sure what to do. Maybe I should just give it another week and see, dunno.

Gosh, that hard Jude, hang in there:grouphug: .

Oh, I thought of something else.... If I call the office , the first thing they'll ask me is if I lost weight, and I have, about 8-10 pounds, and they'll say whats wrong with that, And I'll say nothing but.....blah, blah, blah And yes Yoda, I think what you say makes sense, thats why I would like to know what you guys eat during the daytime, Please?
-
Ya, my ticker's lying too Jude, 298:cry . Yoda, I'll give ya my address so you can ship the stuf ya bought me to my house. Kim, we probably shouldnt talk about eating, should we(as you go to the fridge for the 108th container of yogurt)?
-
Ya after a couple of hours, usually around 10 I will eat yogurt or cereal(soft). But I'm wondering if I'm subconciously(?) eating more softer foods to avoid the hassle of golfballing. But I am definately tighter. So today I ate an egg salad sandwich on really soft fresh bread at around 10:30, but around 1:30 I was hungry again. What do you guys eat during the day? The last bit of weight I loss Mandi was when I went from 300 to 297, I think that was about a week and a half or so ago. Since then nothing, but I've been hungrier. The problem is I go from one extreme to another, morning to night. I dunno. Start my challenge tommorow, I hope that will kick start things. I also think I should call Dr. Cobourns office. But they just don't do fills whenever you want, they kinda want you to go a bit. Did you notice that Mandi? or anyone else that has Dr. Cobourn?
-
Yuck, her own fills:faint: . Hey, more power to her, but man, I could never do that!! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, Mandi:gluck: .

I know what you mean Devana, I'm not sure where you live but I know where I am, its is suppose to be 36 degrees tommorow BEFORE the humidex:faint: . Buffie - Now I know why your losing so fast, your exercise routine is huge:omg: , way to go, your my inspiration.

ANOTHER fill on Tuesday..why I am not feeling much restriction?
CLOE replied to Buffie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good Morning Buffie, I don't really have any advice to give you on fills, but man your weight lose is looking great, are you sure you need a fill? You must be losing with alot of willpower still. But your doing great, i'm gonna say be patient, but I always feel guilty saying that, cause I'm the worst one.:straight -
Mmmmmmm Computer:hungry: . lol Sorry, I'm not trying to tease you, honestly. But HOLY CRAP your on day 5!!!! You should be so proud of yourself!!!

my surgeon wanted me doing 30 mins every day starting during my pre-op, and starting the day after surgery, as much as I could till I got back up to 30 minutes again. Wellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll, I kinda haven't started yet:guess . So I have a swimming pool and a treadmill. Im going to try to do 22, 30 minute walks on the treadmill, and swim just whenever I can, which isnt really hard considering where in this heatwave right now.:bananapartyhat:

I betcha every single one of us who did the pre-op diet had a day or TWO where the scale went up a bit. It's normal, try not to weigh everyday, I know, I know, I can't do it either, soooooooooooooooooo nevermind if you can and weigh tommorow. Remember it's not what you weighed everyday, but how well you stuck to the pre-op for surgery that counts. Get the liver hopp'n, it'll make a huge difference for surgery and recovery. The weigh right now is just a side-effect. But I know, you want to see it coming off while your eating next to nothing. All I can say is be patient, and it is going to work out and be GREAT!!!!!!

KIM, MANDI your posts say after midnight. Ahhhhhhh I feel sooooo old :notagree .
-
Kim please remember that your to do whatever TLBC has told you, everything on here is just our opinion, it is important to do whatever your surgeon wants. Having said that, here's my opinion, LOL. Drinking water, alot of water is good, before, after and during. I think that peeing alnight should be looked at in a good way, remember your cleaning out your liver, and without a lot of water carrying the garbage out of your body, thats not good. I also think that water is better than any pop. I would always pick water over it, but I think your dr. said it was okay so you should treat yourself to it now and then for a treat. I wouldn't worry to much about the caffeine thing, your doing your diet well, your losing weight, I wouldnt worry. YOUR DOING GREAT, KEEP GOING!
-
Ya, I'm one of those people that there bodies react well to stuff. Like when I eat garbage I can gain really quickly. However, it works the other way too, so I'm hoping when I add the exercise in and really challenge myself it will pay off. Hey it's worth a try. My birthday is in September, and I really want to feel great, not that I don't already, I want to feel greater!!:Banane56:
-
Here's what I think Kim, you are doing your pre-op diet, and sticking to it and you've made a good decision about surgery. All this means you are feeling good about yourself. AND YOU SHOULD! Sooooooooo when you feel good about yourself....yada yada yada. Remember sex is all up in the head (or so they say).

Okay, I'm stealing your drumroll Mandi............ ..............................Bought myself a new pair of Capri's and a new skirt today in a size 3X!!!!!!!!2 months ago I barely could squeeze into a 5X, Yeah, I'm Happy:) .
-
Okay, I don't want to be the shit disturber here but........when I went to bed last night, I started to think (and no mandi, the pillow didn't catch fire), wouldnt it be easier to do one month at a time, cause then for any of us that made some heavy duty goals, there easier to attain cause the time frame is smaller. We can always start another challenge in Sept. I don't know, everyone needs to input here, I might be totally out to lunch (actually lunch sounds good:hungry: ). We'll wait till maybe sunday night to get everyones input, I can set something up then. How's that.
