Woo Hoo, Neenaugh's back!!!!! Oh my gosh, what has happened. I hope nothing bad!! Did you fall in love with the surgeon and run away to a deserted island in the pacific? Can't wait to hear about it!!!

Thank you for the replies. So last night I took a tums, and yes that seemed to make it subside. So then my next question is...If I never had heartburn before, then how come I have it now. Is my band making me more sensitive? What exactly cause heartburn, should I be watching what I eat? And thank you again for all the Birthday Wishes!!
-
I have a question for you guys..... Every now and then I get this funny feeling. It's like a mild burning feeling running down. Kinda from the back of my throat to around where I think my band is. Its not in my throat or my stomach. I am not experienced with the feeling. Would it be heartburn? or refulx? or something. What do you guys think? It is not really painful, just a very mild burning sensation. Thanks

Heating pad is a great idea Swanny. Congrats on the pre-diet. It feels good to accomplish it dosent it. You'll sail thru surgery!!! Let us know how everything goes!!!
-
I take Effexor. Up until about a week ago I opened them up threw them into the back of my throat and swallowed with water, being careful not to crush any of the little beads. Then I just started swallowing them and they went down fine. Just be careful not to crush them, especially if they are time released. I did not drink coffee during pre-op but I did drink coffee with cream starting about 3 days post op.

Best wishes to you, let us know how it is going.

AAAWWW, thanks guys. Yup heading into those 40's now!! But never felt better!! I was kinda hoping to just let it slip by, but when I logged on Sunday morning, there it was beside my name......41!!!!! My family helped me clean up the yard getting ready for fall/winter then we went to DQ for ice cream. I'm not a huge ice cream person, but I LOVE DQ. I had a LARGE choc dip cone. Ate the whole damn thing...HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ME....LOL:hungry: .

Go Go Lila, and ya, I don't think you'll have any trouble with the 8 lbs this month.
-
Hey Lila, great thread........I'm so proud. Actually you cannot get Isopure in Canada. Honestly we've all tried. Maybe if you go on there website you could order some, but it is only available in the states. The rest of us just used like protein shakes and stuff.

Good morning Maria, I just wanted to let you know how you've inspired me. All yesterday I thought of you every time I ate. I chewed till I thought my tongue would fall out. I never got stuck all day. So, today I thank you. I'm gonna keep thinking of you when I eat until I change my habits. I hope you don't mind.

Jude, you are certainley an inspiration to me, how you keep going. We know where you get your strength from, your mother. Your story helps us all to remember what really matters in this world, FAMILY! Please take care, keep us posted, best wishes for you and your family.

Had my first golfball, or whatever it's called..
CLOE replied to Buffie's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I don't think that it's good thing to vomit every day. I would say to slow down and chew alot when your feeling tight, your like me, some days I could everything, the next very little. Weird, eh? -
:omg: ................:hail:

Hey green, wtg, your on your way now. Sounds like your doing well. I found that gasx and walking helped with the gas pains alot. Keep drinking water. You can slap your husband for me, lol, actually sounds like something my husband might do, without even thinking. Keep in touch, and I'm not sure about the blood stains, sorry.

Hi Buffie, it's so good to hear from you again. I don't mind if you have been busy, but make sure you come by when you can to let us know how your doing. I know what it is like to have a younger family that is involved in everything. My kids are a bit older and it's easier for me now. I'm sorry to hear about your episode, it does suck! To be honest with you I think (and this is my opinion, please check out others) I have been really stuck and I have PB'd and I think if you PB and rid the object and the pain it is easier. I don't know that I would promote vomiting but the pain seems worse when your stuck. I have also found that when I did vomit, it was only the contents of my pouch and therefore was just food like, not yucky, smelly, half-digested stuff like prior to banding. I cannot comment on your scale thing. I can't believe you could go that long without weighing. I'm a complete scale maniac. I am sure being that your as busy as you are, with the band, and working out, you must have lost some. Take a shot of whiskey and jump on, take the plunge!! -
WHAT, you have never been stuck!! I need you to come to my house, you need to slap me up side the back of my head every bite to remind me to go slow. You are my inspiration!!! I am going to think of you every meal. Every day I don't feel stuck all day, I'm gonna let you know. (don't wait by the computer). "40" YEARS!!!! WOW!!! Fantastic!! My husband and I will be married 17 1/2 years. Time does fly by dosent it. I'm sorry about Tiger. Man, I can't believe you have never been stuck, not even like tight going down, nothing?
-
Wheezy, yes and yes. The golfball feeling happens when you havent chewed long enough or you eat too fast. Me, Im a slow learner, or I think my body must love this feeling or something.:frusty: The golfball feeling comes before sliming, sliming comes before PBing, and PBing is the final straw. Well at least thats the way I see it, others may see it another way. I think I'm gonna start a poll on golfballing. I seem to do it alot for than I want to.

Maria, you should'nt have asked!! lol Baa aaa aaad joke!!

Hey Irishmist, your own thread, WTG, I love it, marias memo, thats great!! YOU ARE NOT BORING!!! We are gonna drag it out of you, yet. Boring people don't get lapbands. what do you do at work? do you have kids? do you have pets? do you have siblings? I know, I know I bet you drive a red convertable corvette, right? You don't have to answer, I'm just being dumb. But if you wanna, then I wanna know!! lol Maria, does your band hold 10 cc's then, I noticed you had 4cc's fill. Do you fell stuck sometimes, still? Do you mind me asking who did your fill?
