Well, not really sure yet! Still kinda getting hungry to soon I think. Having said that, (without wanting the violins), our household, between my brain-dead teenage daughter, and the election being tommorrow(thank god), and blah, blah, blah (you-know, all the other shit) All I want to do is........'what I've always done' EAT!!! I'm not looking for sympathy, and I don't really want to unload on line(everyone has stress), but I'm really leaning on my band right now. Will-power is not even on my radar right now. It will pass, I know, I'm just kinda sitting on my hands waiting for it right know. So, (I know, sorry you asked, right?) I was expecting to be tighter, surprisingly, but it's really hard to judge right now. Bleh, I hate feeling like this!!!!

letter from the minister of health about the lab band
CLOE replied to andreerichards1's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Anything to help people get off the list for diabetes, heart disease, asthma, depression, high blood pressure, etc......in the remaining years of there lives, therefore being less taxing on the health care system, SHOULD BE COVERED!!!!! It's sucks, it's stupid, and I'm sure it's a bunch of skinny people making the rules!!!!!!!! That's what I think. -
Doriana, I wouldnt worry to much about the throat thing. Remember that your trying to shrink your liver and pretty much purge your whole body. Drink lots of water. The pre-op diet, in any other way, except for pre-surgery, would just suck. It's the fact that the surgery is just around the corner is what makes it okay. Hang in there. And ya, hunger is there, you will truly be soooooooooo sick of cottage cheese and yogurt, but keep eating it if your hungry. Try sending a pm to woody's. She had some real great ideas to spruce up the pre-op. Smile!!!!!

I've always thought those things are dangerous!!! Especially for school kids. On my bus the kids try poking each other with them. I think the poppies should be stickers instead.

Awwwwwwwwwwwe, Wheezy don't hold back because of me. It's my fault I don't have high speed. We want to see pics!!
-
Hey Louise, I know I should remember this, but how full is your band now?? It's a 4cc right??
-
Have fun, maybe you'll win the big jackpot!!!! Hang tight with the fill thing. Once you get the restriction (AND YOU WILL), the weight is gonna fly off!!!!!!! But I can imagine your frustration.
-
Good Luck Wheezy!! When are you going? Are you feeling any restriction at all?
-
Just Think, you'll never weight what you weigh today, AGAIN!!!! Try to remember that when you feel like your turning into a container of yogourt!!.........lol Have a good day!!
-
Best of Luck Doriana!! It's your first day so I would just eat what you want of the food your allowed. Yes, good chance your gonna get a headache, at the first sign, TAKE the tylenol!! Woo Hoo!!! Very Exciting!!!!!!
-
Hi Louise No I never did get anything. My hairdresser kinda talked me out of it. Said it was a waste of money, for something hormonal. I dunno. I'm still really thin, but I think it's slowed down a bit, or at least thats what I'm telling myself right now. It is scary, isnt it?

I'm just curious. How come we don't have a picture thread in the Canadian Corner? Just wondering?

LOL......It took me a while. Hey we want to see a pic of you in the new lingerie!!!! Just put a bag on your head...LOL -
Oooooooooooooo, people get paid for that job!!!!!!!!!
-
Yes, that was definately less than before my fill. What I was hoping for was feeling full longer. I actually felt I had pretty good restriction before, but hunger was coming back sooner than I thought it should. So I'm just hoping that the new fill will hold me longer. I havent really felt a whole lot more restriction. Maybe thats because I'm already chewing alot and eating slower. Lot's more gurgling now, though. It's kinda funny.

Yasmina, I found that the first week after surgery really wasnt that bad for hunger. I really didnt feel like much at all. By the time you start feeling hungrier you can usually add more food. I think the hardest part is just prior to your first fill. Hunger is usually back big time.

LOL Accents, uniforms and alcohol!!!! A recipe for , well I was going to say disaster, but I guess that depends on your situation. We have a police academy where we live. When you drive by at certain times you can watch the cadets out for there training excersises. Wowza's!!! But since 40 I kinda feel creepy, most of these guys are in there early 20's.:phanvan

Hey Wheezy, why don't you e-mail the Doc, there usually pretty good about responding. Tell em just what you told us, see what he say's. If it's getting you down, don't let it go, cause it might become a vicious circle(at least it does with me). Let us know!!

Oh my gosh, that is huge!!!!!!! Don't assume it will be easy, do you have a plan, or something to do when the crazings get real bad?
-
It's kinda surprising though. don't you think, with the fresh fill and all? I really was expecting a bigger jolt, maybe that will be tommorrow!
