    anyone take abilify?

I was on Abilify and felt like I was on speed. It also made my eyes jerk back and forth. Bad stuff for me. I also took Depakote and slept for months. When I was not asleep, I was sick.
  2. My thought on this matter is this: Getting banded is a MAJOR decision. The pre-op and post-op phase is a very small portion of your life. You MUST follow the eating rules. This is vital to the healing process. Now that does not mean the eating rules you find on here. That means the eating rules outlined by your doctor and nutritionist. Everyone's is different. Call your doctor, admit your mistake, see what he/she feels needs to be done from here, accept the outcome. DON'T CHEAT AGAIN if you truly want to lose weight and move on to a healthier you. Do whatever you have to in order to avoid cheating. I have locked myself in the bathroom with a book and with Vick's under my nose in order to avoid the smell of tempting food (not that I am a saint - That is just one method I have used.). I can't give you a pat on the back and tell you its okay when it's not. I will also not chew you out. That is not my place. I can only offer advice on what I think you should do from here. Be strong, be creative, and you will be proud of yourself for recovering from this mistake.
  3. I have had two fills and one unfill (which required being poked about five times and have never had a numbing agent. My body seems to do well and I don't seem to need one. I don't judge those who do need it though because if the needle was going in my foot it would be a different story. I cannot handle needles in my feet at all.
  4. Last night I had to have my dog, Jesse, put to sleep. She has been very ill for some time now with diabetes. She was my best friend. She has been constantly at my side for seven and a half years. She has loved me unconditionally. This past year has been one of the hardest of my entire life and she never left me alone through it. We came home last night and she was very very ill. We met the vet at the clinic and the decision was decided. We were at the clinic all evening with her. My son, my husband, and I were on the floor beside her to the very end. She died knowing she was loved and being held and petted by those closest to her. We brought her home and she was buried at midnight last night in our backyard. We buried many of her favorite things with her (including a McDonald's Cheeseburger and fries). The wind was very very high and the air was very cold but she deserved to be at peace and safely underground. My heart is truly broken beyond what words can even describe right now. I never thought I could be this destroyed by the loss of a pet. I feel so stupid being this upset but I just can't get beyond the tears. I miss her being by my side or at my feet. Please be patient with me as it may be a few days before I get the Weight Loss Chart updated. Pray that the Lord will send comforting angels to my home and that He will carry my family through this tough time.
  5. Updated to here. Happy New Year, everyone!

My best friend died last night.

hockeyson, I am so very sorry. My heart is so sad with yours right now. It is all so fresh. Everytime I close my eyes, I see her. I am always catching my mind wandering to her. I thank everyone so much for their encouraging words of love, compassion, and understanding for us and our losses. It means more than you can know. On an upbeat note, my hubby felt so sad for me and my oldest son that he made a trip to the local animal care center and came home with two new members to our family. We now have two beautiful new puppies that are such a handful. We will now be able to give back to our beloved Jesse by passing on the love she gave to us to these two new pups. One puppy, Tyson is a 4 mo. old lab/shepherd/chow mix who is sweet as a button. Our second, Stella is a 9-12 mo. old lab/shepherd/chow mix (Tyson will be much bigger than her) who is so very loving. They are both as crazy as can be and just love to play all day long. No one could ever replace Jesse but we are finding that we can go on. These little critters are making it easier to lift our heads out of the tears and putting smiles back on our faces. You can see pictures of Jesse, Tyson, and Stella at the following link. Another NSV!

Ok. This one is weird but I have definitely lost weight in my feet. All my shoes are flopping when I wear them. I can't even keep some of them on!
  8. Yea! Merry Christmas everyone!

    Wow! Nsv!

I am three weeks post-op and have been noticing my clothes fitting looser and a flattening of my tummy, stuff like that, BUT..... Today I was woke up and my wedding ring (which is close to 100 years old and is a family heirloom) was hanging on the end of my finger over the edge of the bed! It is sooooo loose! I had to put another smaller band on over it just to keep it on my finger! I will take it up and have it resized later but will stick with this method for now since I hope to continue to lose weight. In nearly 100 years, it has never been resized. I am almost afraid to do it but want to continue to wear this set.

    Wow! Nsv!

I had to find that one out, too, in the beginning.
  11. Ok, my fault, sort of. It was set to republish when I made changes and did not do what it was told. Sorry! Anyway, everyone should be there now. Updated to here.
  12. WannaBSkinnyB, did you follow the link at the top of this thread? Because you are on there.
  13. i was required to have a psych evaluation and meet with the nutritionist. Once that they were all in agreement that I was good candidate for the band, I was approved. Very easy and so very worth it.

  14. I wasn't sure what I was looking for at my first fill either....until I was too full. In my opinion, it is better to err on the side of being a tad bit under filled than over filled. Being too tight is awful business and makes you miserable.
  15. I love that I can eat virtually anything that I loved before. I just eat less of it. God must have known what He was doing on this one. I have to confess. At this point, I am still not getting a lot of exercise. It is soooo icy outside and my treadmill is freakin' out. Just think how much more I could be losing if I was actually doing something! I love my band!
  16. I think a slight unfill is needed too. I know I had quite a bit of slime when I was filled a bit too much.
  17. Please post your weights at info to the following thread. I can update everyone but can't collect from three different threads. Thanks! http://www.lapbandtalk.com/f283/new-notorious-novembers-weightloss-spreadsheet-83651/ I WILL NOT BE TAKING WEIGHTS FROM THIS THREAD AFTER THIS POST. PLEASE SEE THE LINK ABOVE.
