  2. Can we talk about weighing/measuring your food? I recently just finished my second month and I am down 48 pounds. (woohoo!) However, I have never measured or weighed the amount of food I am eating. I typically just use a small bowl and eat all of my meals out of it, and work to take 30 minutes to eat each meal. However, a family member who also got VSG said I should be weighing and measuring everything I eat, and I should work to understand the volume at which I can consume my foods. I'm not sure I understand what this means and why I have to do it. I suppose I am seeking out advice into what you all do, and how it has helped with your weightloss? Or do you guys think I'm fine just putting my food in my small bowl and eating as is? Do you guys weigh the amount of food you're consuming? Do you count calories? Help? Thanks so much! 3. I am about 8 weeks post up and I dealt with the same exact thing as you up until now, and I also have PCOS. The stall really messed with my head and I began to feel extremely down. However, I just stuck to it and kept going, and by now (week 8) I FINALLY went down two pounds, which felt like the biggest milestone (which is crazy considering how much I lost the first few weeks). Keep going, chin up, you got this. Keep doing what you're doing, we are all different, but as long as you are sticking to your plan it will happen. Even if it's slower than you anticipated. I realized I have to throw all expectations I had prior to surgery out the window, and just accept the journey as it comes. In a few months from now I'm sure you will be laughing at yourself thinking "why was I even worried to begin with?" Don't worry! Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Watermelon

Nice, did it affect your weight loss at all? Did it help? Did it make you have a stall? My body did really well with watermelon pre surgery, but reading everyone's opinions on it on here makes me worried and has me thinking I shouldn't have it. I am exactly 6 weeks out. I feel like it wouldn't hurt to try? Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Watermelon

Came on here to ask the exact same question. I dieted hard core about 6 years ago and lost over 80 pounds and during this time I ate a lot of watermelon. Helped keep my bowels moving (sorry, tmi) and the scale moved down every day. I am a month and a half out and I can't use the bathroom at all, and have tried everything. I'm thinking to try and eat watermelon and wanted some input from anyone who has experienced positive results from eating watermelon. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app

    Is there something wrong?

Thanks so much! I just feel normal most of the time, and I get to a point where I second guess whether or not I'm doing this properly or not. I suppose I'm just stressing myself out...especially when dealing with this stall Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  7. I am currently on my third week (yes, the dreaded stall stage) however, my main concern is that I have a large appetite. When I eat, I do get full after about three or four bites of a meal, but I am able to down an entire pudding cup, and am able to drink easily. My question is this: what was your calorie count within your first month post op? And did anyone else experience having an active appetite. My sister also had vsg done, and she said she was nauseous all the time...I hardly ever feel nauseous at all. Please help. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
  8. I just had my surgery on June 27, 2019, I just now made it to the one week mark, and I am finding that it is easy to gulp down water. I feel I can even chug water down, but am refraining to do so. Is this normal? Are there any consequences to my sleeve with drinking water normally this early on? will I stretch my stomach or cause a leak? Please help. Sent from my SM-G950U using BariatricPal mobile app
