Does vicodin make you forget to call someone you're dating for 5 days? Jack..you're awesome and I agree with the use of Courting. Shame on ME! He was getting Jiggy with several other women! hahaha -

Did they tell you at Dr. Deol's seminar about the Support Group Fee? -
I found the biggest variety of sf jello in the refrigerator section at my local Kroger. YUM! It was on sale for 2 bucks for 6 cups.

Libra... My doctor and my postop instructions say nothing over 20 pounds for at least 2 weeks to a month. I can imagine it's a pain though. I know friends have had babies and had cecerians and struggled with what to do because they couldn't lift anything heavy but had a baby carrier and not someone to carry the baby all the time, ya know? Good luck hon.

I just ordered my scale off ebay so I'm waiting for it to arrive so I can find out how much I've lost. I'm so excited! I never thought I'd be excited about weighing myself. How funny! How is the liquid diet going for everyone today? Last night I got home to my husband having tender roast out of the crock pot with gravy and homemade mashed potato's. DROOOOOL! I wanted some SOOOO bad! But I was good.

Relationship Question: Full on communication to None

Amen Yoda! I had a guy do this to me, make excuses, etc. Then not call. It turned out he was courting several other women. You need to be honest with yourself and realize that after 5 or so dates if he's not contacting you then he's not worth it. Regardless of what's going on. If there was a strong connection he would contact you and tell you what was going on if there really was a valid reason and he was still in to you. Move on to someone who actually cares about YOUR feelings too. You've put enough effort in to him. -
GOOD LUCK SCRIBBY!!!! I'll miss you! Come back and tell us about your adventure soon! Good luck to all that's being banded tomorrow!

Paulax... I'm only 5 days out and I'm feeling like I'm suffering. You're very inspiring. I'm dying for just some cottage cheese! For some reason since surgery I can't tolerate the smell of broth. It makes me litterally want to throw up. I had some prior to surgery and was fine. I don't understand it. Only thing I can figure is it was the anestisia. My mom was a huge coffee addict for years and after one of her surgeries she couldn't even stand the smell. Made her want to get sick. Maybe that's my problem? I'm just dying for the next twelve days to go by so I can have pudding and cream of wheat for heavens sake! hahaha. I can move to phase two on August 17. What day is yours?

food finds! what are you eatin and LOVIN?!?!
Josette replied to shellyj.'s topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I love tuna patties. You take tuna, crushed cracker and egg and mix it all together. Press it out in to patties and cook it in a skillet with a tiny bit of oil. My mom brought me up with these. She'd also make it with salmon. I also love scrambled eggs with cream cheese. This was another one of my mom's recipes. Every man I've dated has LOVED it. My husband loves it too. Just add a little bit of cream cheese just before you serve and mix it around so it gets on all the eggs. -

where were you banded at Skinnyme??? -
that sounds like fun...but I'm an august bandster hehehehe

do you have sleep apnea, GE? That might be why. I had trouble with mine too at first so I had to have one of those lovely oxygen tubes across my nose. Dried my nose out bad!

Cathy, Thank you so much for saying that. I can hardly wait to see mine too. We were literally best friends and me and my father were by her side to the very end. I took over 2 months off from my job to be with her in the end night and day and I miss her enormously. It was so tramatic that my hair in the past 9 months has all been turning gray and I am only 31!!! I went to the rifle range with my husband a while back and the guy working it referred to me as my hubbys mother!!! YIKES! So i think I'm going to be dying my hair soon. hehehe. I love port huron too. I live 2 hours away from there but when I'm over there I love to walk the boardwalk they have along the river. It's very nice. Where are you from?

I'd love some cream of wheat with skim milk and splenda in it. awwww. I'm sick of liquids already. hahaha. I'm on them until Aug 17th and then I can have liquids that aren't clear. YAY!

Good luck and speedy recovery to all that's being banded or already banded!

I make really good enchilladas and soak the pain in sauce pretty good so I was just curious if I will probably have a hard time with that or not.
-
welcome to the group Caroline! I just walk until I'm feeling pretty tired. I had to hold on to my stomach today because it was sore when I walked. My gas is pretty much gone now.

Today I went to work successfully and didn't have any major problems. I also am getting head hunger though. On the way home I kept thinking about homemade taco's. HAHA. Then I ate 3 oz of yogurt very slowly and didn't even want to think about food at all after that. I love my band! At lunch today I ate a half cup of soup over 30 min and felt like bursting. You'll all be very surprised once you get your band and realize that it truely does make you feel full on such small amounts of food!

Clovermeg...HAHAHA> I had to do that one too! Felt like I was in high school again bubbling in all the answers. My psych eval took 4 hours. They asked a lot of questions and wanted everything detailed about every diet I've tried.. my weight from youth until now. how much I'd lost each time... etc etc.

I know the complication thread is scary as all heck but you should be aware of the fact that there's 9,151 members to this site and usually atleast one hundred on at any given time and I've never heard of any of us dying from getting the lapband. We're all taking action to give ourselves a longer healthy life. Any surgery is scary but you're not risking even close to as much with this as most other surgeries. Hang in there. We're all in this together!

Happy Birthday... HAP HAP HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUU'S!!! *in my worse singing voice* -
Bandster16, I'm so sorry for your complication but I'm beyond proud of you for the positive attitude. You're an inspiration! I was banded on the 3rd and I'm back to my office job today. I'm here right now *shhhhhhhhhhhhh, don't tell* and I'm feeling pretty good. I did feel very weak when I got out of my shower this morning. Had to sit down for a bit before I got dressed. Right now I'm on break and sipping on my skim milk for protien. I took tylenol this morning just because I knew I'd be moving around a lot at work but other then that I've only taken the liquid loritab 3 times... all three right before bed. I'm very thankful I did this. If anybody has questions, feel free to ask away.
