Thats AWESOME Robin. I didn't know he found anything but I'm so glad for the good outcome. It's all smooth sailing from here sister!

I was just banded a week and a half ago (seems longer then that) and my scale is supposed to arrive any day now. I ordered it last week. I'm dying to know if I've lost anything. My body feels different already. Wish I was at twoterville already Wait up for meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! hehehe.

yeah I've been wearing a bandaid to bed at night but during the day it's open to dry. It's not a horrible infection but it does have some puss coming out of it and it's not a sealed together incision like my other 4. The lapband center said to keep putting the ointment on and see how it does.

awwwww Lisah.. I'm sorry about your tooth! That stinks! I understand your doubts and know we've all had them. You'll be beyond happy though when you have the surgery and drop the weight and save all the money for future health care resulting from being obese. It's so worth it! Hang in there!

Good luck tomorrow Bug and Libra! I'm so excited that we're all getting there! Yay!!!

you look HOT Heather. Beautiful! I can't wait to get to that point myself! -
Welcome to the August Band Crew Mert! You'll be seeing results soon! It's so exciting!!!

With my tomato soup I put basil, minced garlic and a table spoon of ricotta cheese along with some parmasian on the top. Reminds me of meatless lasagna without the pasta! It's SOOOOO good! MMMMMMmmmm

One of my incisions is infected. I have been trying to put peroxide on it and then triple antibiotic ointment and a bandaid. Do you thing this is wrong?
-
Good luck to those being banded! We're here for you when you get back. Let us know how it went! I'm a week and a half out now. 11 days!!! I feel really good. My incisions are healing nicely for the most part. One is a little bit infected but I'm taking care of it. I'm still eating pretty small amounts. I'm still fighting with head hunger though and wantng to chew something! AHHHH! But I'll be ok. I can sleep on my stomach already with no problems and I haven't used any pain meds or tylenol since three days after surgery. Like I had said.. I'm feeling good. I did have my first NSV on Saturday when I tried on a pair of jean capri's I couldn't fit anymore and they fit me perfect. Not tight at all! Yay!!!!! I'm still waiting for my scale to arrive so I can see how much I've lost. I'm so happy we're all getting banded. The month is halfway over!!!!

Yesterday I decided to go over to my sisters to help her paint her bathroom and when I was getting dressed I saw this pair of jean capri's that I love but I couldn't fit in to anymore this year (which made me pretty sad) so I decided to try them on just to see if I could even button them. At this point I don't know how much I've lost in a little over a week because my scale hasn't arrived yet. So I picked them up and slipped them right on with no trouble buttoning or zipping them up. They felt great and I felt even better then great! Having this surgery was SO worth it!

air from them pumping your midsection full of air to make it easier to work in there. It's trapped in there and trying to find a way out. Mine wasn't in my shoulder but in my back and chest. Ouchie!

My stomach is growling as I type this. I caved last night and took a half avacado, table spoon of sourcream and milk and put it in the blender till it was super smooth. It was actually kind of fluffy like cool whip...but anyways. I ate a bit of that and it was soooooooooooooo good! I just can't take the sweet stuff all the time anymore. It's making me want to gag. hahahaha. So today I had a yogurt this morning and i've been drinking a bottle of water since then. I'm just dying to get past this liquid stage. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

sleepyjean.. my husband is big. Probably 5'9" and 350.
-
want2lose. My husband was very nervous and unsure about it also but I kept right on going to get everything I needed done. I made him go to a second seminar with me and afterwards I said "do you feel better now?" he said not really... I asked why and he said "you think you can give up pepsi?" of all the information in there he was worried about me giving up pepsi!!! So from that day forward I didn't drink pepsi again and that was 2 months ago. I've had my surgery and he's VERY proud of me and he's also changed his life and is eating better and it's been great for the both of us. Good Luck and no matter what, you need to do what's right for you.

Kwmmwk... how are you doing? Haven't heard back from ya
-
Kwmmwk... I think that what they mean by not tolerated means that you'd be PBing it back up. It's just going to take a while for it all to go down the space the band has left you. My doctor said that your old stomach on average is 32oz and after surgery you have about 4 oz so that meal you had is probably really tight in there, resulting in how misrable you are.
-
Kmwwmk... unfortunately I think you're just gonna have to suffer it out. I doubt there's a way to get it to digest any faster. Maybe sip water or hot tea? I think this happened because you're eating too fast. I've had yogurt and felt like I was going to explode after 6 oz and it was because I didn't eat it slow enough to give my body time to tell me STOP! I hope you feel better soon.

I told my husband when I hit goal I want to go back to vegas and stay at the palms and while I'm there get a tattoo at Hart and Huntington to do with my weightloss. yay!
-
JadedLady, I feel ya completely. I crave unsweet stuff too. I just can not eat that broth. UGH! I hope to move through the next 7 days quickly so I can then have cream soups and cream of wheat and all that fun stuff. YUMMY

Where are all the Michigan people at??
Josette replied to Cinnaberry's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Skinny.. no. I was banded a week ago in Port Huron at the lapband center of Michigan. Thanks though -
I was banded a week ago today and I'm feeling really good. I'm bored as heck of the liquid diet already though. I'm sick of sweet stuff and I want some cottage cheese or mashed potatoes!!!! I haven't had loratab or tylenol in 2 days now and I don't feel that I need it at all. I have been sleeping on my stomach with no problems. My port was placed in the front too so I was a little worried about that, but I keep waking up laying on my stomach.

I can relate to you on so many levels. I lost my mother less then a year ago. She battled ovarian cancer for 4 years. My dad pretty much closed up and became angry and was very mean to my mother alot. She had only me to lean on and over the 4 years I suffered the loss of a 3 year relationship to a man I loved because I was spending too much time taking care of mom, the loss of a home because I had to take unpaid leave from my job for months to take care of her in the end. I remember just wanting to drive off a cliff because I was so stressed out. I knew she was dying and it was killing me and I had the world on my shoulders. I wanted to run away everyday. I sucked it up and got medical help with nurses to help and in the end I was with her for 24 hours a day for weeks and though it was so tramatic it was so worth it and I'm glad I did it. The other things lost were a drop in the bucket compared to losing my mom. I guess what I'm trying to tell you is to hang in there. Don't get a fill because you don't need to deal with that right now. There will be plenty of time later. Hang in there and if you need anything... Just to vent.. whatever.. I'm here for you! Your mother is very lucky to have you!
