I work in a busy office. I had surgery on Thursday morning..went home on Friday and was back to work full time on Monday morning and I did fine. I just kept from taking the prescribed pain meds until night time so I wouldn't get dizzy

anything new with this situation?

I don't usually send these e-mails to people but true or not it is something interesting and people should think about and be aware of. This was emailed to me. -Josette Know how much money you are carrying! You will see why as you read! Be sure every lady is aware of this M.O. Share with it your wife and daughters. Know what money you are carrying... This was the first I have heard of a scheme like this and I wanted to pass it along. Criminals are coming up with craftier, less threatening methods of attack, so we have to be extra cautious. Read on*. I live in Alexandria, VA, but I often work in Lafayette, LA, staying with friends when I'm there. As you know from America's Most Wanted TV program, as well as the news media, there is a serial killer in the Lafayette area. I just want to let you know about an "incident" that happened to me a few weeks ago, and could have been deadly. At first I didn't go to the police or anyone with it because I didn't realize how serious this encounter was. But since I work in a jail and I told a few people about it, it wasn't long before I was paraded into Internal Affairs to tell them my story. It was approximately 5:15 A.M. in Opelousas, La. I had stayed with a friend there and was on my way to work. I stopped at the Exxon/Blimpie station to get gas. I got $10 gas and a Diet Coke. I took into the store two $5 bills and one $1 bill (just enough to get my stuff). As I pulled away from the store, a man approached my truck from the back side of the store (an unlit area). He was an "approachable-looking" man (clean cut, clean shaven, dressed well, etc.). He walked up to my window and knocked. Since I'm very paranoid and "always looking for the rapist or killer," I didn't open the window. I just asked what he wanted. He raised a $5 bill to my window and said, "You dropped this. " Since I knew I had gone into the store with a certain amount of money, I knew I didn't drop it. When I told him it wasn't mine, he began hitting the window and door, screaming at me to open my door, and insisting that I had dropped the money! At that point, I just drove away as fast as I could. After talking to the Internal Affairs Department and describing the man I saw, and the way he escalated from calm and polite to angry and volatile....it was determined that I could have possibly encountered the serial killer myself. Up to this point, it had been unclear as to how he had gained access to his victims, since there has been no evidence of forced entry into victim's homes, cars, etc. And the fact that he has been attacking in the daytime, when women are less likely to have their guard up, means he is pretty BOLD. So think about it...what gesture is nicer than returning money to someone that dropped it??? How many times would you have opened your window (or door) to get your money and say thank you.... because if the person is kind enough to return something to you, then he can't really be a threat....can he??? Please be cautious! This might not have been the serial killer... but anyone that gets that angry over someone not accepting money from them, can't have honorable intentions. The most important thing to note is that his reaction was NOT WHAT I EXPECTED! A total surprise! But what might have happened if I had opened my door? I shudder to think! Forward this to everyone you know...maybe they can be as fortunate as I was! P.S. Ladies, really DO forward this to EVERYONE you know. Even if this man wasn't a serial killer, he looked nice, he seemed polite, he was apparently doing an act of kindness, but HE WAS NOT A NICE PERSON! Men send it to all the women in your life. What you do today is important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. Make it a good one! Please forward to anyone you think might benefit from this story.

Support Group Fees?????????????!$!$#$#$%
Josette replied to NJGirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
the first surgeon I chose was awesome and I went through everything I needed and then found out there was an $800 support group fee due before surgery. I couldn't come up with that in 2 weeks so I had to drop out of the program. I then started going to seminars again and found a doctor I LOVE and the support groups are FREE! yay!!! -
I figured it might be false but I could see something like that happening. I never thought about it before. After reading that email though I figured that maybe I'd think twice in the future about weither the money is worth it that the person is claiming to have found on the ground.

Well last week I went in for my yearly exam with my gyno and she said "how old are you?" I said "31" she said "time to start taking calcium suppliments!" I said "What??? I'm getting OLD!!!!" hahaha. So I think I'll just eat a lot of cheese and skip the old people suppliments for now;)

I have belonged to freecycle for about 2 years now. I got one of my doggies on freecycle. I also got concert tickets to see Social Distortion off there from a couple who won them on the radio but couldn't go. I have gotten file cabinets off there. I've given away a truck topper and bed liner on there. Oh and I also got a queen size box spring on there. The only bad experience I had was I was trying to find a christmas tree stand and a guy that lives in a bad area of town had one but he was insisting that I come pick it up without my husband which freaked me out so I was a NO SHOW. I love my doggy though!

I had an appt for my 2nd fill in Port Huron yesterday at 3:30. I had my fill at 3:30ish and drank water and was doing fine. We went across the bridge to canada and were shopping in Sarnia Ontario when I decided to get a propel. One drink and the water wouldn't pass through so I had to go out to the parkinglot and throw it up. I waited a little bit..took another drink. Instant tight feeling in the chest and threw it up. At that point I'm spitting up my salvia so we decide to go back to the U.S. so after we cross the bridge I take another drink...throw up. So I call the after hours line because it's after 6pm by this time and they say "Dr. Boutt (my doctor) isn't on call tonight, Dr. Bhesania is so we'll have him contact you shortly" so 5 minutes later he calls me and I explain what's happening and that I'm from Lansing (2 hours away) but I'm still in Port Huron and he says "call the lapband center tomorrow morning and we'll get you in" and I said "but I'm still in port huron right now" and he says "but I'm not near the hospital. Call tomorrow and we'll get you in" and I said "you want me to drive back to Lansing tonight like this and drive all the way back tomorrow to get unfilled?" and he says "yes. I'm not near the hospital" So I said ok and hung up. I then drove directly to the hospital where the lapband center is and went to the ER and said "someone has GOT to unfill this right NOW because I'm in misery and I'm not driving back to Lansing like this and getting up tomorrow and missing work to drive all the way back here to get this out." So they called Dr. Bhesania and told him I was in the ER and asked him to come in (I'm hearing the conversation while I'm in my hospital room)and the ER doctor says "I don't know how to do that. I've never even seen it done. Ok.. Hold on" So the ER doctor comes over and asks to look at my stomach. So I show him and he pokes around for a minute and then goes back to the phone and says "I'm sorry but you have to come in. I don't know how to do it and I'm not going to try. No. You need to come in here" So he gets off the phone and you hear him talking to another doctor saying "He's a specialty doctor that's been trained to do that, I have no idea what I'm doing and I don't feel comfortable stabbing a long needle into that ladies stomach when I've had no training. Last thing I need is to get fired" and the other doctor says to him "no kidding...but I did hear they're hiring at the grocery store down the street" So an hour later Dr. Bhesania strolls in all cocky and asks 2 ER doctors to come in so he can show them how it's done. He emptied all the fluid out of my band and I had immediate relief. Now I have to call back today to get in there in the next week to get refilled with a little less fluid. I was SO stressed out. I have an appt next Tuesday with my doctor to have 1.5cc's put back into my band. I didn't get back home until midnight.

I hate this time of year. It's depressing to me and I've just got no motivation. I'm back up to 369. I don't know what to do with myself anymore. I'm going to try and make myself go to water arobic's this week. We'll see what happens.

I get my second fill on Election day. I'm looking forward to it because I don't feel a whole lot of restriction on my first one anymore. I'm sorry about the apple peel. Thanks for telling us though because i love eating apples and now I think I'll peel them before trying to eat another one. Sorry you're going through that though.

so I'm back up 4 pounds. I was down to 364 and today I was 368. My PMS is kind of out of whack too though so I don't know what the deal is. I need to workout. How is everyone? Any halloween parties this weekend?

We're the same height and almost the same weight and wear the same size shoe. We should go shopping together!
