    Gainesville Fl Medicaid?

I know the 6 months but im not certain yet if it has to be back to back months. Luckily my S-N-L is also getting the surgery and she just went yesterday. She said an ekg, blood work, a dye test (which im trying to clarify as can be multiple things) I'm also trying to get ahead of the game so to speak. I'm having my pcp do all my test then send over another ref because she made a typo on original ref so it got pushed back.So when I go in ill have basically everything done and will only have to do the pshy and nutr with them. This is my list for test that i'm requesting from pcp and shouldn't take to long maybe a month to get done. EKG,Sleep study, complete blood count(CBC), kidney, liver&blood sugar test, chest x-ray,heart stress test and lung function test. Covering all my basics and no of these can hurt your process only help you. As I know some of these are going to come back as abnormal. ex: stress test, sleep study. keep in touch so we can help each other along the way. oh and get into a support group now!! their meetings are every 3rd Thursday 6:30-7:30. This Thursday is actually one. gives you huge brownie points with surgeons.

    Test before surgery

Thanks everyone for your feedback!! I wasn't sure if it varies from patient to patient. my S-N-L said on the paperwork given to her they require an ekg, something about a breath test and a dye test. not sure what she means by the dye test as it can be multiple things. And do the visit with PCP have to be back to back or does it just have to be within the last year. example I will see my pcp 2 times this month regarding weight loss 6/5 and 6/19 will those both count or will they only be considered one?

    Gainesville Fl Medicaid?

uf & shands Gainesville does except it. but they have changed their policy, you can see dr (consult) once approved refer sent in..then afterwards you must complete req test before you can shed surgery. you basically see dr one time then at your surgery. im still researching myself and in beginning stages. but luckily my s-n-l is also having the procedure and just saw them today so she has been keeping me in the loops I can get ahead of the game. basically what im doing is doing all the test that are required then asking for a consult and suppling them with everything they need that day. so I would only have to do the pshy and nutrition side for them.
  4. Hello everyone! I'm in the beginning process of this journey and i've already ran into a road bump. (dr didn't put proper info on refer so got a call saying I didnt meet guidelines thankfully I asked what I didn't meet and explained it must have been a typo error.) anywho, I am trying to find out what tests everyone had to do prior to surgery. which ones are required ect if it helps im going to uf and shands in Gainesville once my pcp fixes the errors on refer but figured since they require you to do test before you can schedule surgery why not get ahead and get most of it done before my consult with dr's.
