Plastic Surgery Countdown is on!

I hope you’re right :( I’d really like to feel more comfortable in shorts and above the knee dresses. -
Plastic Surgery Countdown is on!
kristieshannon replied to kristieshannon's topic in Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
I have really been trying to accept them how they are, but I just can’t stand it. I probably won’t be able to have any further surgery until 2022 or even 2023, so have plenty of time to research surgeons and also try to just accept my legs the way they are. We’ll see. -
Oh, Just Another Plastics Story pt 2

You look phenomenal ❤️ -
I’ve found that fountain soda in a drink with vodka and ice isn’t too terribly fizzy and I can tolerate a smallish amount. So rum & Diet Coke might work for you. Just let is sit for a bit to de-fizz.

Plastic Surgery Countdown is on!

I realized I had never taken an “after” swimsuit photo. I’m so happy with my flat tummy, boobs and arms. Unfortunately now I’m a bit fixated on my thighs and am starting to research thigh lifts. I really wanted to avoid it, but think it will be necessary. The more I lose, the worse they look. Overall I’m thrilled but feel like I’ll need to get that done as my final piece of the WLS journey. -
Before and After Pics

Just took this after PS in a swimsuit photo this afternoon. As you can see both upper and lower belly bulges are gone :) -
Depends on how far out you are post op. I think either of these the things in small amounts and as an occasional treat are fine once you’re past your immediate post op stage. However, probably not good to have too much of this stuff while still in weight loss mode.

Food Before and After Photos

The recipe is from the Skinny Taste website. Here’s the ingredient list. I sauté the onions & garlic first to soften them up and double the spices. Just brown the onions, garlic, and meat and throw it all in a pot for 30 minutes or so. It freezes really well too. 235 calories and 23g protein for a one cup serving. It’s really filling! -

No more boobs
kristieshannon replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
My recovery was surprisingly smooth. The first 2-3 days were rough of course, but after that I felt like each day was a big improvement over the previous. I went back to work full time at three weeks post op and felt great. -
Eh, not the one. Nice enough guy but no spark there. It was a fun evening though.

No more boobs

Yes I did. And I was just a few weeks shy of 51 when I had my surgery. -
Plastic surgery in less than a week 😱😱💕💕

Congratulations! I look forward to following your process. I’m so happy I had my PS, I’m so much more comfortable in my body now. -
No more boobs

Ah, I did the whole mommy makeover thing which included a tummy tuck, abdominal muscle repair, breast lift & augmentation. I also had an arm lift to get rid of the bat wings. -
No more boobs
kristieshannon replied to HealthyLifeStyle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I would bet you’re smaller than a 36 band size! I think I remember you mentioning plastic surgery? I had mine in January. My poor boobs were just empty sacks. Now post PS I’m a 32F. They’re awesome :) I can go braless if I like and they stay put. -
Out on my first date post separation and pending divorce. We’re getting drinks and visiting a farmer’s market. Probably should have picked a dress, but the sidewalks in the area are known to be real ankle breakers.

Before and After Pics

This is me the morning prior to my plastic surgery. I definitely had a bulge both above and below my belly button. It’s all flat now post tummy tuck. -
Ugh. Mine started that too. He’d alternate between loving how I look and being super insecure about it.

OOTD scrubs edition. My hospital provides our scrubs. The tops have a colored band at the neck, and the bottoms have a colored draw string. The colors indicate size. Dark green = 3xl, dark blue =2xl and so on. At my highest weight I wore dark green band tops and had to buy my own pants because the 3xl’s were too tight. Now I’m a yellow which is small and may even fit in pale green which is XS! Boy did it suck to have to advertise my size on my work clothes, now I’m happy to be in the yellow crew :)

So sorry you’re going through that. My husband got incredibly insecure, possessive, and frankly angry right after I had my plastic surgery despite all reassurances from me. It sucks. We’re now legally separated and have filed for divorce. Even so, I have zero regrets about my surgeries. I’m going to live a healthy, full of fun life with or without him. Best of luck to you as you move through the process!

Mine was puffy too. My tummy tuck flattened it and lifted it (and seems to have delightfully tightened everything in that area up a bit as well).

Scared I will fail
kristieshannon replied to SW1973's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
I went partially through the approval process at 40 and then chickened out. I wish I wouldn’t have. My only regret is not having surgery sooner. I finally went through with it at 49. Yes, I ended up with loose skin. Plastic surgery took care of all of it (and oh man, do I love my perky boobs). I’m fit, healthy, and love how I look now. I enjoy eating thoroughly. Just smaller amounts. I also am a big sugar fan. That has lessened somewhat post op, but I still fit small treats in to my plan and am satisfied with much, much less. For example, a dark chocolate/caramel/sea salt bar that has eight segments lasts me eight days. I savor each one in the evening, letting it melt slowly in my mouth rather than chewing it with hardly tasting it. I truly feel like this surgery is my second chance, I’ll be around and be healthy to enjoy my kids and grand kids and fully participate in life. Best of luck to you! -
As long as your incisions are healed you’ll be fine. Does the place you’re staying have a refrigerator? I’d recommend stocking up when you arrive on healthy drinks and snacks so you can stay on plan.
