21pilots replied to 21pilots's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
I know I was more so interested in a response about the amount of food rather than what it was, but I will be more careful and not overeat again just cuz I can! I knew it seemed like a lot... -

I’m in the pureed stage now for a month and I’m already bored with my food choices. I am rotating between eggs cottage cheese and pudding. I tried mashed potatoes and refried beans too. I need some help with ideas, so I won’t get bored since I have to do this for a month ugh! PS I don’t cook :)~

I just counted my calories 3 months prior and lost 25 lbs but I didn’t deprive myself at all still had weekend cheat days. And I had Mexican food 3 days before surgery my doc just had me do a 2 day liquid only diet. Wasn’t bad at all and everything went great! -
Yooooo gotta try this 🤤

Am I gonna be bald by 4 months post op seems that’s when people notice it also what can I take to help it I can’t take biotin cuz I heard it messes with your thyroid levels and I get mine tested often.

I am having eggs and cottage cheese and pudding and mashed potatoes and refried beans with cheese. I just recently had broccoli and cheese soup cuz I was dying of something new and went down fine. I’ve been to nervous to try any meat yet tho

Hi everyone! My surgery was May 20th I’m on purred stage and so bored with this food can’t wait to have solid food in a couple weeks I have no problem getting in my protein or water everything has gone smoothly so far expect for my first period it has been so miserable and heavy I def hit a stall week 2 and 3 I’m on week 4 now hopefully it gets better!

Everyone has nodules in their thyroid usually they are benign just keep monitoring them the only reason I noticed something was wrong was when it felt like someone was choking me then got it checked out. That is so funny you said that about the neck why does it get like that it’s like missing muscle or something?

So I have no thyroid due to thyroid cancer 5 years ago so I have to be on thyroid meds for life. I was on 212 mg pre op but I read some articles that your tsh levels go down 9 mg a day post op and you have to adjust your medication. What has been your experiences post op regarding adjusting medication. I am very anxious about over medicating or under so I can properly lose weight. I requested my blood be tested a week after surgery and it was fine and I’ve had great energy. How often should you get tsh levels tested? Any help is greatly appreciated.

I’m going to tell my doc I want to be monitored monthly

I had kfc mashed potatoes twice and was fine then third time gave me diarrhea so I’m scared to have them again. Maybe it was to much richness

Wow I’m so glad I read this! 3 weeks post op and I had been taking biotin for a couple days now but I am also on thyroid meds because I have no thyroid due to thyroid cancer and have been super anxious about making sure my levels were in the normal ranges and had no idea biotin could make levels off! Thanks

What are some good canned creamy soups? Can I have broccoli and cheddar? I’m just worried about the little pieces of broccoli in it. I did try tuna with light mayo but wasn’t a fan of it by itself and seemed too dense for the purred stage. I had kfc mashed potatoes 2 days in a row and was fine but then the third time I had it I had diarrhea right after so now I’m scared to eat it again but that was my fav

Same thing happened to me too i got my period 5/23 3 days after my surgery and it hasn’t stopped yet it’s not heavy just like brown sludge every now and again it’s gross lol wish it would stop already
