You are going to be stylish!!!! Get a tan before your surgery, vacation & surgery...multitasker,lol. Make sure you have comfortable slide in shoes as well, you may not feel like dealing with the stylish sandals on the way home. Assure that where you are staying has broths or etc. to accommodate your meal /hydration plan or access to a local store is available. Congratulations.

I don't know your budget, but is a spa day affordable? Being that it's Vegas I'm sure they have same day appointments, you can get one service and enjoy the amenities to keep the cost down. Another good destressor as well.

Thank you for the scolding, because I need to hear this as well. I'm pre-op and obsessing about losing these last 10 pounds before my last appointment with the surgeon on the 17th before surgery on the 31st. My inner enemy whispers in my ears, "your surgery will be cancelled because you have failed!" That scale sees me everytime I go to the bathroom to pee, wash my hands, brush my teeth, if I walk by, just because I can't stop thinking about it.... I just had a confession, but damn this has been crazy, I've emailed the surgeon and the Bariatric Dr. I'm so ready to get these extra 10 pounds off and get some rest, I'm going crazy. I didn't mean to hijack the thread, I'm sorry and emotional.

For those of you having surgery on Monday, I've been reading that your anxieties are into overdrive. Practice slow deep cleansing breaths and sleep in your most comfortable positions that you know you aren't going to be able to sleep in for awhile. Take a long relaxing bath (because we you are going to be relegated to showers for along while), go get a nice pedicure tomorrow (those include a foot massage), change your sheets and before you leave for the hospital make your bed up nice and pull the covers back (leave a gas-x instead of a mint on the pillow, lol), buy flowers for your room for yourself and a nice card with kind words reminding yourself why you are proud of you!!!! Make a basket of things you need and put it by your bed within your reach, lay comfy loose pajamas on your bed & put your slippers by your bed, put a fresh towel in your bathroom, change your toothbrush just because, get new batteries for your remote controls ( I assume we all will be watching lots of TV in between naps & walks in the house), get a new journal and pens to write, borrow some books and etc... There's plenty of ideas above to keep you occupied until Monday and you can always pray or meditate, download the calm app or go on YouTube and find the Honest guys, I love the meditations offered : This is my favorite one, they offer many. Stay busy pre-pampering yourself, because you deserve it.

Now to be comical, my dearly departed Aunt told me..."You aren't ready to part your legs, if you can't have a discussion about protecting yourself 🤣!" That's the PG version of her advice to me, I was 16 at the time, that was an interesting conversation. I understood what she was saying. It's all about presentation and hearing one another and you have both communicated effectively. Isn't that attractive on a whole separate level 💜, I love being an adult.

Pregnancy isn't the concern, I have the Mirena. I'd be more concerned with STD screening and etc. (No offense) With new partners, until testing this is a valid concern for both parties. Have the discussion and go together, it will make future escapades much more enjoyable and then you will be free to be spontaneous once you know.... I hope you didn't mind my public service announcement, it is all love.

You've been missing in action from BP. I used to see lots of posts from you when I first started on here, welcome back .

Read through the post on this site, especially those who are or were early out in their surgery. I've heard the regret passes as the benefits out weighs the regrets. This site has been beneficial for helping the mind, which aids the body in healing. I hope it gets better for you, hang in there. You can only go up from here, the people on this site are here to help you, express what you are feeling.

Some family members and people aren't that chill and are trully intrusive. My dad's rights have been revoked so I get it, with the combination of being private. I opted for AJ's surgery theory of female issues, especially since I've had multiple surgeries for endometriosis and fibroids. You have to operate in a manner that is conducive to your lifestyle and protects your peace.

I can't sleep at all this past week, since January 1st, due to the anticipation and excitement, research, running to the bathroom all night from all of the liquids, What's everyone doing until surgery date to stay occupied?

How are you doing and feeling since your surgery? Has consuming the daily liquid goals and etc. been manageable for you?

Cheaper than plastic surgery, lol.

This is a educational thread, I have a horomone imbalance and weight loss is beyond a battle. I eat right, hydrate, maintain the proper portions, eat mostly pescatarian, the proper carbs , I don't drink soda, love vegetables... I can go on & on. I appreciate all of your comments and knowledge, Fluffy chick you are pretty darn amazing....

You have a beautiful home, lovely snoring wife, kids?, dogs, newfound health and all family isn't blood. I have a whole self made family that I have built over my years and we love each other dearly. My family is dysfunctional as ever, so pick your stressors Steve.

Easier said than done because they aren't my family, but wish them to the corn fields. I don't deal with my mother's daughter since the day of our mother's funeral 6 years ago, life has never been more peaceful.

I commend you for your kindness and having a HUGE HEART for still wanting her in your life and around your family. You obviously have a great calling on your life and accomplished a lot in spite of everything you have been through.

Is your relationship with your mother/family toxic? My apologies for any pain this may be causing you, geesh.
