  1. Going to amusement park and not sweating about possibly not fitting in seat. Also not having to use “test” seat for rides which is embarrassing. I can’t wait! I have been turned away before when trying to buckle my seat belt. 😓

    REGRET

Thank you for the great suggestions! I need to start thinking outside the box! 👍🏽

    Road trips

Hopefully because we are driving I will be fine. We can stop for me to walk periodically. That sucks you had to cancel. 😕

    Road trips

Cool! That gives me hope! We are going to Mall of America (Nickelodeon Universe) and some nearby attractions. Of course I won’t ride but it’s for the kids. 🙂 Yeah only thing that will real suck I’ll be still on full liquids 😓
  5. Hello all! I go see my Dr. on the 11th for my one week check up so I’ll ask him. But in the meantime has anyone here traveled 3 weeks post-op? We planned a road trip (8hr drive) and by that time I’ll be 3 wks out. Will only be for 2 days. There will be a lot of walking involved but I can sit down when/if I tire out. This trip is mostly for my kids and this month since I’m off due to FMLA we decided to try. If he says it’s not safe of course we will have to cancel. But just curious if anyone has been in same situation?

    REGRET

I’ve already had slight buyers remorse when I think of random foods i probably will never eat the same again. Like nachos 😨 or deep dish 🍕. But I’ll take being healthy over that any day. I have to mentally snap back to reality. It’s a struggle.

    Post op diet

Yeah I’m gonna remember to listen to my stomach and not rush if not ready. 🙂

    Post op diet

I just started Protein Shakes in addition to clears and so far so good 🤞🏽 I think I’m having head hunger thus wanting “real food”. I’ve been on liquids for almost 3 weeks now counting pre-op. I didn’t cheat once pre-op so I intend on same post-op. I’m too scared of creating unnecessary complications. 😟

My doctor used a robot also. 🙂 I didn’t know that was a thing until I went to my first appointment with him. I’m on day 6 now post-op and just started protein drinks. So far my tummy hasn’t acted crazy. I start all other full liquids Tues 🤞🏽

    July Surgery

Congrats! I had mine July 1st. So far no regrets and no complications 🤞🏽 I’m walking 30 mins daily on my treadmill and keeping clear fluids down. Next week I can start full liquids. Hope that goes smoothly as well.

    Post op diet

Ok so I guess we all do have similar plans. I guess I’m just anxious to try new things. This first week has flown by already. I should count my blessings so far and stop whining. Lol 🤐 Thx for the replies! 🙂
  12. I hate food police. This is why I don’t wanna tell a lot of people. Some people have nothing better to do then judge and examine other people’s lives. Super annoying. Where I work people gossip too much so I’m really avoiding telling anyone there!
  13. I had RNY July 1st. Anyone else diet plan after surgery calls for 3 weeks liquid? I have one week clear then two weeks full liquids 😩 I want real food lol I see so many others who can have things sooner. Is my doctor just being super cautious?
  14. My surgery was July 1st as well so I completely sympathize with the sleeping. I have yet to get a good nights sleep since surgery. No position is comfortable. Hope this passes soon cause I’m always so wiped out. But I only need pain meds at night to get a little sleep.
  15. I had my RNY surgery July 1st. First time I’m gonna sit out festivities for July 4th but I’m ok with it 🙂 I’m so glad I’m in recovery stage and so far so good! First day was really rough though.
