  1. You will definetely know. For me, it's awful. I gag like I'm going to throw up, but I can't. I get like slimy spit that comes up that I have to spit out, all at the same time it feels like someone is sitting on your chest. It does take about 20 minutes to go away.
  2. I had surgery May 7th and that also happened to me the first week. Just like everyone else said, liquids in/liquids out. I couldn't stand it anymore. Not to sound gross but it was so bad I couldn't barely wipe (Vaseline works wonders for that part). I made some really runny cream of wheat. It tasted wonderful just to have something with texture, but it also helped get rid of the runs. To give it a little flavor, you can add a splash of vanilla slim fast or atkins protein drink. Good luck - it will pass.

    How often do you weigh?

I weigh myself every morning just to keep myself motivated and on track. Though I have been getting frustrated again, as now I am stuck between 28 and 30 lbs. back and forth. My 1cc fill didn't do a thing, so I will be going back in soon for another. I think I should have done my measurements before surgery because I feel smaller and it would be nice to know how many inches I have lost.

Weigh in... how much have u lost?

After being banded May 7th, I finally had my first fill on June 27th. I guess my doctor is very conservative because he only did a 1cc fill. I have to wait about a month before I can go back in for another fill. I don't feel any difference at all. However, I finally got past my plateau and am down 29lbs, so I am thrilled. I'm feeling hungry though. Hope I can hang on until the next fill.

Weigh in... how much have u lost?

Ellen, We were banded on the same day, but I'm still teetering in between 21 and 24 lbs. Right now it's back up to 21 :smile2: It's really getting discouraging because I am eating way way less than I used to. Can you tell me what a typical day of food is for you. My first fill isn't until the 27th. Thanks, Dori
  6. I had my surgery on May 7th and within the first 2 1/2 weeks I lost 20 lbs. Then I moved on to mushy foods, and gained 2 lbs. Now I've lost a total of 22 lbs. just short of 1 month since surgery. Thank God for this website because if I had not been reading about others who have had the same problem, I would be really discouraged. My doctor would not do a fill until the end of June. I'm hoping that will jump start me again. Also, other people have said that it's really important to exercise, but I'm just now feeling better. I still feel exhausted sometimes, but I also have RA. I'm going to try and make a commitment to at least take a walk around the neighborhood once a day.

Weigh in... how much have u lost?

Hello, I was banded on May 7th and was on a full liquid diet for 5 days before my surgery, so since my pre-op weigh in, I have lost about 22 lbs, but it keeps bouncing back and forth between 20 and 22. I am eating like I'm suppose to, in fact probably less because I'm having a hard time getting down the protein drink I bought. I know I really need to get serious about that as I would rather lose fat than muscle (Duh)! Anyhow, the weight loss definately slowed down once I introduced mushy foods, verses liquids. My first fill isn't until the end of June, but I do feel full after a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of food. Can anyone tell me how to put my tickerfactory weight bar on this site. I cannot figure it out. Thank you, Dori
