in October of 2012 I went to my primary care doctor and discuss the possibility of weight loss surgery with him. He agreed that it was a good option for me. So he referred me to a weight loss surgeon in North Carolina, it all seemed very fast tracked by November 12th I was having my gastric bypass surgery. I started my own weight loss journey before surgery in January of 2010. My starting weight was 305 I got myself down to 210 and then gained 40 back that was when I decided on surgery to help me .. Fast forward to now..... My weight on November 12 2012 (surgery day) was 250 lb today I'm at 150 lbs. I got as low as 135 but have gained some of it back. ( Which I will take back off) here are me at my heaviest and now! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

I am HORRIBLE about taking my Vitamins. So many pills and they fill me up soooooo much. So I recently got the tespo Vitamin dispenser with the bariatric vitamin bundle....tastes soooo good and will make it soooo much easier to take my vitamins! Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

I actually took my vitamins every day for 31 days, that is the first time it's happened on probably 2 years or more. And I can feel my energy again. The pills were just too much I hated taking them. This made all the difference.

I am almost a full 7 years post op. Since we aren't supposed to have carbonated beverages with bypass I haven't...but I have had mixed drinks...it hits me super quick....I get really really buzzed....and move to water and sober up pretty quickly. I don't really care for Alcohol regardless but I tried it and it hits me quick personally Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

From experience I would say. Make sure you're getting all the protein you're supposed to. AND drinking lots of water. I lost a total of 115 after surgery. 250 to 135 a stall is normal Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

If you Google 5 day pouch reset it will tell you exactly what to do. To be honest I LOVE carbs. What it really did for me the biggest was help me get myself to stop so many carbs. So now I am watching how many carbs I am eating. I don't eat more than 30 a day currently.... hopefully I can keep it up Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app

Great! It really helps you cut out the carbs. And I do feel like it's helping I feel a little more restricted. And the bonus is I've lost 6 lb since Monday.

I figured the long term affects from not taking my vitamins the way I should or ever would far outweigh the cost for me. Just had to cut back on something small after that first initial investment.

Did your surgeon want you to lose weight before you got surgery

They wanted me to lose 15 lbs only to prove I had what it took to make myself successful. Sent from my SM-G965U using BariatricPal mobile app -
