On the petite side..(closer to only 100lbs to lose after surgery)
Tracydawn posted a topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
I'm only 5 feet just over a year ago weighd 240. Lost 41 lbs before surgery CW 182. Is there any other petite losers out here? I have been told the weight loss would be slower. Would love to hear other expetiences. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app -

I like the idea of knowing that my body is taking the time to reorganize itself it totally makes sense..๐

I haven't lost for the last 3 weeks..had a check up yesterday and the Dr couldn't explain why I hadn't lost any. She said i should be losing 30lbs in 30 days this early.

This will help you decide what surgery is best for you and has articles that take you through the entire process. This forum is helpful too, don't be afraid to ask questions oh an app i really like that also had a Facebook page is called Baritastic..I hope the best for you [emoji3] Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app

๐๐stomach pain..is it really just acid??๐๐
Tracydawn replied to Tracydawn's topic in Gastric Bypass Surgery Forums
UPDATE....saw the doc today..she said she has no idea why i have stomach pain when I eat and drink..she wants to take a look but...she said she is goung to stretch my pouch when she does wich will make me lose weight slower!!! I've only lost 22lbs in six weeks. I scheduled the procedure for 2 months from now see how things go. Meanwhile I will deal with the pain and continue swimming and walking. Thank you for all the support Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app -

I have the worst stomach pain. I'm 6 weeks post op and it's been for the last 3 weeks. Doc says it is acid. But I get stabbing pains when I drink water and when I eat. I have been taking Pepcid that sort of helps with the constancy but not the pain when I eat and drink. I'm eating just once a day in the mornings when it isn't so bad and drinking only about 50 ounces it has gotten so bad. I see the Doc again on Tuesday. I have done research and it could be something more serious. What have you experienced? -

I've not had any other complications. No nausea or vomiting. I had no idea my little stomach didn't make acid... I will do some research on ulcers. The only food I can eat that doesn't hurt that I have found so far is home cooked beans. Thanks for taking the time to read my post. ๐ -
Right on!! Hope things are going well for you. ๐

I'm 46 i havent met anyone in my area in my age most are 10 to 15 years younger. I'm 5 weeks out from the bypass. HW 240 Sw. 199 CW 183...havent lost any weight for a week actually gained a pound. I walk, hike, do water aerobics...I wonder if it is slower cuz im older or if im doing something wrong.. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app -
I have just one dog and I am still, at 5 weeks out unable to walk her because she is so big. Doc doesn't want to risk it because she pulls hard and the stress is more than 30 lbs. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app

Honestly the cottage cheese...and you may try making your own chicken salad. Read the label of the store bought stuff and home made cooked beans will have more protien and flavor than the hummus..especially with a bit if finely grayed cheese on top. Hope i helped a little Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app

C diff infection post surgery

Goodness you really need to get them down. Is there anything you can keep down that you can put them in? Iced coffe (my nut says iced latte with milk is ok) pudding anything that is really yummy...as long as it doesnt hurt to to eat like dumping or cramps you may want to. You are at a stage you can eat most foods as long as they are chewed well. Keep us updated. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app -
I haven't had any since 2 weeks post op..not even a migraine. I had my period early wich is common with abdominal surgery and the cramps were very mild. Now it is late but usually i get cramps before it starts...hoping those are gone.. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app

That is fabulous! I go to the pool for intense water aerobics 5 days a week and do a lot of hiking. Maybe in the winter i will go the gym. My daughter is getting married in a month I'm putting of to the last min buying a dress hoping i lose more by then. Thank you for the encouragement. I too get super bad cramps and have chronic pain i took gabapetin to turn down my sensitivity. As for cramps i decided 2 days a month was worth 28 days of being pain free and having more energy. I havent taken anything for pain in 7 months and no more gabapetin 4 wks post op now. Sent from my VS986 using BariatricPal mobile app
