Day 8: Never been happier from a rest from squats!!![emoji28][emoji28][emoji28] Listen to favorite music: was taking kids to girls scout meeting and one of my all time favorite songs came on coincidentally and I was jamming enough to embarrass my kids ( that's a victory)!![emoji38][emoji38][emoji38][emoji38] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Any August 2019 people out there?
Deedee12 replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Chiptress, definitely the hormones!!! Gentle hiking for steps has helped me significantly!! Try getting out even if it's to the shops to get steps in and be out of our heads or away from triggers makes a difference. Just know it should settle soon. Always talk it out and don't bottle your emotions and let family members know it's not personal (as hard as it seems) rather par for the course. About That sushi, BRAVE woman you!!!!!!!lol!! I've been beyond petrified about going off plan!!! No rice, bread, carbs, sugars etc for the next 5 months or EVER!! I hope you start feeling better and it's a lesson learned. Dust it off, no permanent damage and back to plan. That's the great thing about this tool! It's very easy to "Ctrl Alt Delete". Hope you start feeling better mood wise too!! It's A LOT but we'll prevail [emoji8][emoji8][emoji8][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7][emoji7]🧡[emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -

So glad to hear you are doing fantastic Chiptress!! Life is definitely better on the loser's bench!! I'm no longer feeling hopeless about weight loss or trying to plot the next diet!! [emoji119][emoji119][emoji119][emoji119] It's not easy but I like to be where we are! That recipe looks good![emoji106][emoji106] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Day 6: I came to the astonishing realization that I was the biggest eater in my house (astonishment is CRAZY because that's why I am obesed right?)!. We have had leftovers from labor day still sitting in both our refrigerators! Prior to surgery, it would have been gone or at least gone and I would fool myself in thinking my hubby and the kids and I made the dent!!!!🤨🤨🤨 So "I asked my hubby for help" in continuing the healthy nutrition we have embarked on (he is very fit, never dealt with weight issues) to establish good examples for our kids and he says he's on board[emoji106][emoji106] He laughed out loud when I told him my observation about food and me!![emoji28][emoji28] I think he has been truly impressed with my staying on plan in light of my fad diets through the years!! Exercise: 55 squats done!! I hope it gets more effortless [emoji26] B sided question: I had to take a moment on this! We were literally just in the Bahamas beginning of last month on a Disney cruise!!! Seeing the devastation on TV has been very sad and difficult to watch! My kids/family have donated some money online for relief efforts. I don't have any family members in any area where Dorian is leaving it's devastation but moments like this beings an attitude of gratitude sharply into focus. I've also been floored by how Bahamians have risen to the occasion with fortitude and strength even those that have lost EVERYTHING!!!! God bless and restore them swiftly [emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176]🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡[emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120][emoji120] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Sorry to hear that Bastian!! That feeling is the worst type of aversive therapy!!!![emoji28][emoji28][emoji28] You never want to experience it ever again and learn REALLY quickly! That's about the only POSITIVE of having had the Lapband!! More horrible and frequent "stuck" incidents! Now since my sleeve, I've not experienced it once because my psyche has automatically learned to mindfully eat (not by my will but by the force of the incidents[emoji23][emoji23][emoji23][emoji23]). It gets better and easier as our minds pay attention to cues!🧡🧡🧡 Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app

Got my DS yesterday morning

The ONLY alleviating thing for that HORRIBLE gas pain ( I was doubled over!!![emoji25][emoji25]) is walking and walking and walking as cliche as it sounds!!!! Toradol was a close second! But nothing felt as good as walking. You'll start to feel halfway decent in 48hrs. But you are right, had 3 C sections and was not prepared for that severity[emoji106] And like Csection, I've forgotten it happened at week 3. Better days ahead and Congratulations 🧡[emoji176] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
What do you attribute this type of pain to ?
Deedee12 replied to KarenLR75's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Sorry to hear you are going through this KarenLR75!! Please have it checked out the next time you are experiencing that type of pain!! Doesn't sound normal and Kudos to you for having high pain tolerance and trying to wait it out BUT sometimes our bodies are communicating something to use with the pain! I pray it's something benign and you are back to the business of no pain!!🧡🧡🧡[emoji176] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -

Any August 2019 people out there?
Deedee12 replied to big_ange's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hello August sleevers![emoji112] Had 3 weeks follow up and 16 lbs lost. It's not as dramatic as most people but I'm sincerely learning to be grateful to this tool and being patient to the process! The old me would have proceeded straight from doctor's office to the closest Bakery (I know where ALL the great ones are[emoji38]) and rewarded myself with my favorites and there the backslide starts BUT this new me went straight to sprouts to pick up more low fat cottage cheese and fage 0% yoghurt and went home celebrating and looking forward staying focused on the process and the cause [emoji123][emoji123] Cleared to do some low impact work out at the gym so looking forward to that. I hope you are all doing great and not letting that pesky scale "weigh you down " [emoji5][emoji5]. Stay focused, love your bodies and stay GRATEFUL 🧡🧡🧡🧡🧡[emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji176][emoji7][emoji7][emoji8] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app -
Day 6: 3 weeks follow up appointment with surgeon today and she was as sweet as ever! SW: 213 CW:197 15lbs lost in 3 weeks has never happened to me in my lifetime. I'm learning gratitude and patience simultaneously [emoji5][emoji120][emoji120] Squats: 55 done!!!! Stopped to catch my breath at 30!!! [emoji28] Planning a nice curried chicken for dinner. Meal plan has been bland so far because I have not deviated one bit from plan. Happy Friday everyone 🧡[emoji176] Sent from my SM-N960U using BariatricPal mobile app
