  1. Funny, I was thinking just today, that I used to be an apple and found my hourglass. My last problem is still my tummy, looking into a tummy tuck. But it did go, thank goodness.

35 lbs from goal - my journey

GO JULIE! Aren't we lucky that this band is adjustable. Good luck in finding just the right fill for you to take off the last 35..... hugs

Got unfill now I am starving!

Ah yes, 2.8. I remember 2.8 and I think was a good fill.

    I changed my mind...

THAT made me laugh, because sometimes I miss it too. This summer, I wanted SO badly to eat a whole hamburger, bun and all. But alas, my bands stopped me, thank goodness. So when I miss pigging out, I just put on my size 11 pants and feel thankful that I can't. Foofy, I am a believer that if you are happy and losing weight, then your fill is just right. But if you are not losing and need help, get a fill. Good luck and let us know how things are going.

    New SHOES!!!!

OMG, what a beautiful thing to say. Losing over 100 pounds has really lifted my spirits. I feel beautiful again.

    Night Snacking

I have learned the Oprah trick of not eating after a set time. I have a time of 7 or 8, and that is it. Also, I do not have acid reflux thankfully, but I want an empty pouch by the time I go to bed. Sometimes I 'flush' it by drinking hot Water. Good luck, it is just a matter of changing your habits and this is a healthy one. I haven't embraced the feeling of emptiness though, I know that that knawing feeling is our body actually losing weight.

    B.C. Bandsters..

WORD! I have never asked, but I hope Leung is training another doctor. Good to hear Dr W is a great doctor. I look forward to hearing more of him through ang1982. We NEED good support and good for you for going for your support through him Doddie.

    scared of being thin?

I haven't read all the responses so forgive me if I repeat. I was and maybe am still a bit afraid to be thin. I have to learn on a daily basis how to deal with people treating me differently than they did over 100 pounds ago. Some treat me better, like strangers, some treat me worst, like family members who are worried about me or resentful of my success. But I have to say now, 2 pounds from goal. I am more afraid of being fat again. So with every ounce of my energy, I will focus on staying healthy and keeping this weight off. Good luck in your journey. Be good to yourself.

    F***ing Plateau

GO GOTAL! You can do this. I had a 6 month plateau. I was swearing by the end of it too. All I have for you is support, a pat on the back and encouragement to do whatever it takes. I found that with each pound lost, I had to step it up a bit. Really watch my intake and step it up at the gym. Plateaus are natural, but they too will come to an end eventually.

    New SHOES!!!!

You are wise my friend. I have regretted every single dollar wasted on new clothes on the way down, although there are not many honest. I STILL resent it though...LOL! good for you for shopping at Goodwill. Even Walart has nice t-shirts cheap sometimes. I couldn't resent a few dollars. Fortunately, I have had many sizes in my closet to help me on the way down. Your daughter is right to want to see you in well fitting clothes, but you are right to save your money for goal.

    Countdown to goal.....

Aw, just spotted this. Thank you my dear. The last 18 were by far the hardest. I don't really have a 'plan', just focused on protein shakes in the morning, juicing veggies, because I can't eat too many, and of course the lean proteins and soft cooked veggies. I have not been an angel in my journey, but my progress is perfectly perfect for me. I started at the gym seriously last April. I still have 2 stubborn pounds, but the Christmas Season has seen a few white wines and a few extra calories. But happy to report that I have maintained 177 pounds. Yes, start a thread, it has helped me immensely in my journey. I have had many and various threads, where I have whined, complained and even cried. The support I received here was awesome. So still 2 pounds to go. :update: Today I am reporting that my 13 year old and I are starting a jogging program together. She is really wanting this, so I think it will be good bonding time. We start the Vancouver Sun Run training schedule in January and will be jogging 10km in April. This is the first year she is elligible to join at 13 years of age. And she is 5'10" tall and about 150 pounds, (I am just under 6 ft and 177) so I will be working hard to keep up. She also has youth on her side and is a blue belt in Taikwondo. (Gawd, what did I get myself into) If THIS doesn't take the last few pounds off I don't know what will. So all you other joggers out there, you inspire me with your stories and your successful Marathons....wow, I am in awe. I may be jogging slower than your average fast walker, but I will be there with my dear daughter.

    B.C. Bandsters..

Ang1982, congratulations on your surgery date with Woodhead. I look forward to hearing of your progress. It still shocks me that there are only 2 surgeons in Vancouver doing lap bands, one of them (Leung) near retirement. Bert, I pm'd you.

Thank you Bert! For me, it has been a dream come true. I have battled this weight all my life and I just got fatter every year. This has been my saving grace and Dr Leung is my hero.

    B.C. Bandsters..

I love me some Dr Leung. Congratulations on your surgery date. Wow, that must be record time. He IS an excellent surgeon and the staff at SMH were angels. Good luck getting it covered. I hope you win. The best I could do was write it off on my taxes. Check out my stats. I can hardly believe it, and I haven't gained one pound this holiday season. :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2: Keep us up on your progress Bert.
  17. Yep, your fullness is perfect, good projection. Very natural looking. Excellent. Keep on healing. hugs

Strangly I am much looser on my fill post flu than pre. Perhaps the fill was pushed around? Wondering?
