10 weeks today, 35 pounds down, many to go. I feel like I need another fill, but I have been saying that for weeks now. Might actually follow through with that one of these days.....

I am having a hard time with proteins....
Paulax replied to Paulax's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Good suggestion, I will try that tonight. on the menu this evening, chicken legs -
I know it is easy to say, hard to do, but ...let 'em talk.... I think the jealousy comment is most likely true, if I weren't banded, I'd be jealous too. hugs and congratulations...

Wow, thanks for sharing. You are an inspiration.... hugs and cheers to the next 6 months....

What are you kidding? I am itching to donate and toss and do whatever with my clothes as they get too big... WHO HOOOO. LET THEM GO!

Canada Or Mexico?
Paulax replied to andreerichards1's topic in General Weight Loss Surgery Discussions
Well, considering we (in Canada) are so far away from Mexico, I say Canada. We can get our fills here and if anything goes wrong ... our doctor is near. I know there are a lot of happy Mexibanded people here. The difference between the bandits in the US and here is that there are a LOT more band doctors for our US friends for after care fills etc. What do we have in the West 3??????? Good luck with your decision. -
What is your current fill in your 4cc band?
Paulax replied to Paulax's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I find it fascinating the differences in people. Sunta is overfilled at 1.5 and we barely feel it. Anwway, girl you and I need to go for a fill. -
.....The weather is a-changing. The cool weather has brought out the jeans. This morning, I took out some size 20 pants that were previously too small, put them on for the first time since being banded, and now they are too big.:clap2: Damn, missed the opportunity to wear those. :heh: Size 18's are still too small, so will wear whatever fits until then. Thank you band, Thankyouverymuch!

OMG that made me laugh... Denise you need to be very confident in your decision. Whatever is behing her comments, you need to show you are confident in your decision. I feel for you, girl. This is a hard enough decision to make without naysayers. hugs to you....

I am buying those roasted chickens every time I go to the grocery store. I just enjoyed some roasted chicken, with 1/2 small avacado, with a little Ranch Dressing and tomato. DELICIOUS! For supper, I bought some halibut, and will serve it with some steamed veggies. Maybe rice for the family but not for me. What are you having? I love hearing what other people eat.

It is so hard isn't it? And for some reason, when we are feeling good and that our pants are getting baggy, we sabotage ourselves. Consider yourself worthy. I think many of us are the same way, I am, and it is a constant struggle to NOT binge. Forgive yourself and move on..... Group hug to you and all of us who sturggle daily.

I read this the other day and it really seems to be true for me. What I find almost funny is the day to day differences, hormones, stress, exercise or no exercise, the weather....for me I think all these things make my band feel different on a daily basis. I like the idea of not racing through weight loss and if despite following all the rules one is not losing 1-2 pounds a week, then a fill may be required. I am so greatful for this site.... hugs to all

Haven't checked in for awhile. I feel like I get lost on this HUGE thread, but do want to monitor my own progress. Banded July 21, lost a lot the first month, stabilized the next few weeks and now I am feeling the restriction of my first fill and the weight is starting to move again. YEA! I am also walking 45 minutes a day, up a hill and down a hill. I think that is helping both my mental attitude and my weight loss. Weigh in tomorrow, but as of today, I am down to 248 from 280...yipee!

In my neck of the woods it is almost lunch time.... I am having one egg-salad with green olives green onions and celery, and a few slices of cooked zucchini. What are you having or did you have? :hungry:

Anyone out there have trouble with consumption too much alcohol
Paulax replied to juliegeraci's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I am not a big drinker, but I do like some wine on the weekends. WELL, last night I was watching 2 weight loss shows, and one show the nutritionist, todl the woman, that drinking one glass of wine was like consuming the equivalent of sugar/carbs of 8, count them 8 tablespoons of sugar. I just couldn't even believe it. This just after I consumed one LARGE glass of wine. So that does it for me. I am done with alcohol for a long while. I really don't enjoy it that much anyway. Also, a friend of mine who imbibes much more than i do, who is also banded, said the same thing. Her weight came to a big standstill for months and is now giving it up for a while. So do what you need to do to get where you need to get. I am not giving it up forever, but will never forget that woman spooning 8 Tbsps of sugar into a wine glass. Cheers! -
This made me laugh like heck and is EXACTLY what I am feeling right now and why I posted the "I dont' really even believe it" post.... This is what I am waiting for, and never really heard anyone describe it like this until today. THANK YOU for posting this post. BRING ROBIN BACK so she can tell us how she is doing 6 years later. This really brightened my day, Thank you Leatha!
-
Oh man, that is so inspiring, thank you for posting. You are hot, you know that don't you? Congratulations!
-
You all make me feel better. Especially knowing that you had the same strange feelings Mousecrazy. You are always here to make me feel better. Hugs. I guess, I will just play these feelings out and when I get my next restriction then I will feel like it is more real. At the moment, my weight loss has stopped and I don't feel too much restriction. sigh :nervous

OK, now I want a second fill. I am doing OK, but I know I can eat too much. I think my fill is 1.65, and now I want to go to 2. something. in my 4cc band that is.
-
Thanks for that info. It is great to know.
-
To all my loser band-friends. Would someone who is successfully losing weight, please give me a food plan of what you eat in a day. My weight has come to a total slow down, almost stop and now I question if I am eating too much, if my fill isn't in the 'sweet spot', if I will ever lose weight with my current fill of 1.65 in a 4cc band. Thanks in advance. Paula
-
This post gives me hope. I need a second fill.... currently 1.65 and 2 weeks later, very little restriction. I will wait a week and hopefully get a fill to 2.something. Thanks
-
snort, thanks for that Yoda, yes I did get a card, will go check. Yes, if it IS a 4cc band, then I guess we will go up slowly... Thanks Yoda, Marie, it will be interesting to see what kind of fill you get on Thursday. Ask him when is a good time for a second fill, or what are the signs that one needs a second fill. Thanks
-
Thanks for that. Now, I may seem dumb saying this, but I actually am just guessing at the 10CC band. MARIE, HELP ME OUT HERE. We were banded one week apart, same surgeon. The man of few words, never actually told me. Could it be that I have a 10cm band??? I am jealous of your restriction. I'd love to hear a comparison of what you eat in a day with that restriction. Thank you kindly in advance.... I appreciate the input.
