    I've lost 40 kilos/88lbs!

    Awesome feeling isn't it?
  2. OK, I have a question....for anybody. I love the low incision on your TT Ghost. So, I know the belly button is moved and want to know if that hole gets cut off with the extra skin. I know weird question. What goes through the mind of a pre TT, wannabe patient.

    Countdown to goal.....

Just got back from my whirlwind trip to get a fill. It is no wonder I was getting frustrated. I had lost .2 of my fill and was sitting at 2.8. Dr said osmosis. So anyway, I'm now filled to 3.2cc..... So let the weight loss begin and the countdown continue. Let's see, where was I...??? Goal, around 175. Current 195, so 20
  4. Well, no wonder I was getting so frustrated. I had lost .2 of my 3.0 fill so was at 2.8cc. Now I have a fill to 3.2. So let the weight loss begin.:clap2:

    It is the little things...

Well, it isn't a little thing, it is a big thing, I am TOTALLY thrilled with not wearing fat clothes anymore. I am STINKING excited to go to Vancouver this weekend to the Tall Girl to buy myself some jeans, some dress pants, some tall leather boots to the knee. My winter wardrobe does not exist so I am adding a bit, or a lot. I still have about 20 pounds to go, but I need clothes, deperately. I am thrilled that I WANT to dress nicely, no more hiding under ugly oversized clothes. Yea us.....:clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2:

    Kind of funny NSV

Haaaaa! That is great. Hey, I do that all the time, pull my pants down without undoing either the button or the zipper. DUDE! We need some new pants!

    Feeling Blue- Abnormal Scarring

I also have those nasty hypertrophic scars. I am over a year out now and they haven't lesssened much. I too, am not crazy about them in trade. If that is what I have to endure for being 85 pounds thinner, then I can accept them. I'd be interested to see what a plastic surgeon could do with them. Perhaps when I go for a consult for a tummy tuck. Again, ugly scar, but much better overall effect. Hugs, I hear ya!
  9. WOW! What a tremendous difference. I love how low your incision is. Very nice job. Congratulations! Now with every day you will feel better. Hugs!

    Countdown to goal.....

I have had it to here with this plateau. I booked a fill for one week Monday. I am at 3.0, and will ask for a .1 or .2 fill. I am really excited to see some numbers moving again. They've actually started to go UP of late. sigh!
  11. OK, I am tired of this plateau. I am going in for a fill. Have one booked for Oct 22. I am going to ask for .1 or .2. Currently at 3.0.
  12. I came in to congratulate you. It is an awesome moment, is it not? Excellent. :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2: I did the same a while back and haven't gone back.
  13. It sounds as though you are doing really awesome! Rest up!
  14. Will a tummy tuck naturally tighten up the upper/inner thigh sag? or does one need a lower body lift to do that? Thanks in advance. I would love a tummy tuck next summer. I really should book a consult, but get this, I AM AFRAID........after allllllllllllll the surgeries I have been through, breast reduction, ablation, banding, teeth implants, (that was gross) and I am afraid again. But I so want this, this will be the finishing touch. Well, then it might be time to turn to my face, eye lift, rhinoplasty. Hey, I only wish I had a PS for a dad.

    Tummy tuck question.

Thanks Chickie. Wow you did well after your surgery. I am sure I will too. I have a low tolerance for 'thinking' about things, but a high tolerance for pain. Then I guess I need to know the difference between a tummy tuck and a lower body lift. I'll google some. When I look in the mirror and pull up my belly skin/fat. My legs appear to look better, but, don't know if my 'test' is accurate. Cheers.
  16. Good luck my dear. Rest. I am watching with anticipation. When is your surgery date? hugs

    July 2006 Band Crew

Checking in. I can NOT believe we are almost considered veterans of the band. At 14 months out, I am feeling so awesome. I am however, frustrated that the last 20 are the hardest to take off. I try to convince myself that, this band for life, and so what if it takes another year to get to goal. It will stay off for a lifetime. So, having said that, I am still just really impatient and wanting to call goal already. But I shall persist and continue to try to convince myself that I really love exercise. I'll keep trying. Signing out.

    People treat you different

I am less invisible than when I was 85 pounds fatter. I too feel as though I get better customer service, but I have to say that I also carry myself and dress myself with more importance I have a fat cousin with multi millions of dollars, she gets treated very well everywhere she goes. So perhaps it isn't the fat, it may be how we carry ourselves. And, I have also noticed crappy customer service everywhere lately. I guess there are prejudices of all kinds.

    Scarring question.

OOo thanks for that Julie. I tried silicon tape on one surgery, hard to tell it if helped or not. So this salicilic acid pressure tape is new to me. Will ask....
  20. Ooh MEEEOOOOWWW, purrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

    I've lost my manners

That really did make me spit capuccino. I laugh because I UNDERSTAND. Especially the long string of slobbers....ew. I had former Iron guts. NOTHING made me gag. Banding has given me a gag reflex that I never had before. I like those prepared heat and serve Knorr Soups, but the other day I got a twig type thing in my mouth. Before banding, I'd just have swallowed it, but now, NEVER. So this gag reflex is new to this girl. I guess that is why I have found this thread so funny. NO funny stories here, yet, but I am enjoying reading.
  22. I think the best compliment of late was from my son's teacher. She taught all 3 of my kids, so has seen me at my heaviest. Anyway, instead of commenting on my weight, she said, I looked so, much more content and happy. I can't even remember the words she used, but she commented on how I appeared to be feeling. Does that makes sense? It sure did to me, and I really took it to heart. I not only feel awesome because of how my body has changed visually, but I feel totally released from the pain that weight represented for me. Well, that and my husband talking about or family pictures recently. He said, "And there is your mommy, looking like a supermodel." HA!
  23. OK, I've finally met up with some real sticky friends. They aren't my friends and obviously don't want to see me succeed. They have me surrounded. They won't let me go on to meet new friends, the 80's. Very jealous these 90's, can't say I've met any other like them. I have to shake them. There are about 4 of them and they are hanging onto my legs and ass. Someone please tell them to get lost. I really want to meet my new friends in the 80's. Signing off for now, :sneaks out of room to go to gym:
