    New SHOES!!!!

All my life I've dreamed of a perfect size 10. In Canada, size 11 and up are rare and basically I am having to go to Vancouver to shop for shoes or shop online. My dear daughter is 13 and 5'10 inches of gorgeous, is now a size 11 and I feel sorry for her. There are NO cute size 11s. We can find size 11 runners successfully, but not really cute things that a 13 year old would like. We try, she is easier to shop online for as her feet are narrower. But ya, I feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel your pain, I feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel your pain sister.
  2. Ghost, is there any chance you have a picture of your surgical markings? I just love where your incision is located, low, and want to know if you have a pic of the surgeons markings before the procedure. Thanks for sharing all your pictures.
  3. Thanks for the heads up. I have this copied to my cable box. I haven't watched it yet. He had another recipe for a breakfast shake. I have it every morning. I use a soya Protein Shake mix, with psyllium husk and a shot of Flax seed oil. In fact, I just pulled out my juicer for the first time in a year and yesterday drank 5 carrots. lol! I too have a hard time getting in any reasonable amounts of fruits and vegetables. So, I guess if I can't eat em, I can drink em. Going to try this green drink tomorrow. Cheers!

    July 2006 Band Crew

Born2lose, I see you as a tremendous success. Never feel 'embarrassed' to go to the doc. This is why we got the band in the first place, because we need help with our weight. I was at a standstill for 6 months, just recently got a fill to 3.2 and am losing again. I am 9 pounds from goal and am ever so grateful for this surgery. I am feeling awesome. Updated picture....

    Tall bandsters

My sisters! Just shy of 6 ft here, shoe size 11 1/2 M. My feet have shrunk in width, but not length. I am still wearing an 11 - 11 1/2. I too started out just shy of 280, I was wearing a tall sizes 18-20. I am now 185 pounds and wearing a size 12 comfortably. Size 12 was my goal, but they are now loose. When the last 10 pounds come off, I will probably be a size 10. I shop at The Tall Girl and Tallcrest shoes in Vancouver and online. :clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2::clap2: PS, last time I was in the Tall Girl, I felt SHORT. Everyone in there that day was taller than me. I could swear I saw Serena Williams. Must google to see if she was in Vancouver at the time.

    Countdown to goal.....

My new pink sweatshirt and these were my goal jeans. I still have a teense of a muffin top, but I feel really great in this outfit. Haven't worn pink since I was 10. But wanted to share. I am 11 pounds from goal.
  14. Hey, I am 5'11 1/2 " with a largish frame. And no, you will NOT be starving. You WILL be satisfied with smaller amounts. And no, you will not feel less energy, in fact you will feel more energy. Good luck with your journey. The banded life is wonderful!

    3.25 in a 4

I was recently put to 3.2. And yes this seems perfect. I don't think I can go any tighter, but you see in other threads that everyone is different. I read somewhere that restriction really gets serious at 3.0 and that any fill after will be a small fill. I am a bit surprised that your doc put you up 1.75 in one fill. Seems like a lot to me. But everyone is different. Let us know how it is going.
  16. I have to pipe in and support you two. I will absolutley not lose weight if I don't eat properly and I will not lose weight if I do not get extra exercise. I have to focus on eating like Weight Watchers, I have to focus on going to the gym, even when I don't want to. If I eat too little, my body will surely hold onto every little bit of weight it can. Also, if you calculate how much weight I lost each week, I am sure it is less than a pound per week. So yes, my WW buddies can lose weight faster, but I will be the one who keeps it off. I have almost never gained even one pound back in the 15 months that I have been banded. So I encourage you to eat healthful and real foods and get your body moving. It is a constant lesson isnt' it? Still for me too. Hugs and success.

    Countdown to goal.....

Just had to say something. I FEEL SO FRIGGEN AWESOME! I love getting dressed in bright colours, form fitting clothes and I love feeling beautiful. Yesterday I got some new make-up, bought a bright PINK sweatshirt and put on my skinny jeans, now too big. I am on my way out the door and I feel so alive. Hope you are feeling awesome too! The banded life is great!
  20. Great advice Grace. I have been putting one whole banana into my Protein shake in the mornings. I can't eat a banana, but I can drink one.
  21. Oh boy, one year and some months out now. 95 pounds down and all of a sudden I have a craving for something I never even consumed before. Coke? WTF? I have never drank Coke, never had a hard time giving up pop, but all of a sudden. THIS? Perhaps it is the caffeine I am craving, big time sugar??? I don't even get this one. Any one else have a strange cravings?

    Countdown to goal.....

I have been saying from time to time that deep inside, I don't believe I will ever get to my goal of 175. This morning, I got a little butterfly in my stomach that believed that I would. And soon. As I count down, I am becoming a believer. This just thrills me to no end. Life with the band is beautiful.:faint:

    Gained all my weight back

Yep, get back on the wagon my dear. Get a fill and begin again. I know that without my band, I too would gain all my weight back. That is the beauty of the band. This is a lifetime tool and all you have to do is reactivate it and start losing again. No reason why you can't have a meal with your wonderful Polish family, just less of it. Good luck and go get those skinny clothes back, you will be needing them again. hugs We all need support from time to time. I know I sure do.
  24. OOoooo, I know she ran the maration, just not sure when the surgery was, or perhaps it is over now? Hope all is well JulieNYC! Hugs!

    Countdown to goal.....

12! Every pound counts right? I am at the point now, where if I don't exercise, no matter how little I eat, I do not lose. So I am at the gym and/or walking with my buddy every single day this week. I can do this. HOW IS EVERYONE ELSE DOING?
