Surgery tomorrow, 11:30 VGS. Dr. called to let me know of an emergency. He has to leave town after surgeries tomorrow. Another Dr. Will be on call for emergencies and his nurse practitioner will be doing rounds and checking in with him. Do I want to reschedule? Nope, I trust him and know he would not ask someone to cover whom he did not also trust. So tomorrow it is! Best of luck to all of us July 23 peeps! New_Me 2019

Sounds like you have a lot going on. Try to let go of stress you cannot control and continue to follow your Dr advice. I hope this week is better for you. New_Me 2019

I had a scare yesterday. Dr wanted another CBC. My white blood count came back high again! I already missed 6/4 and 6/11 surgery dates. They cannot find a problem causing this. I am so scared the Dr is going to call me and tell me its a no go. New_Me 2019

Same here. 2 weeks of 2 shakes a day. Surgery is Tuesday and I am ready to get this show on the road. New_Me 2019

My but gave me this along with the recommendation of less that 3o grams fat and 30 grams carbs for fist 3 mths. Then first year no more than 50 grams fat and carbs. Seems like every Dr. and program is different so check with your doctors / but and stay on your program. Best of luck. New_Me 2019

I had crazy labs also. I am scheduled for sleeve on July 23 but I was originally scheduled for beginning if June and had a setback with high white blood cell counts from April - June. Labs look better now so I am cleared for surgery but all the antibiotics they had me on have left a sun sentativity and I have itchy hives up and down my arms just from checking my mail. I know what a challenge it is to eat healthy when you are stressed and waiting but keep up the good work and you can get through it. New_Me 2019

July 23 for me. I begin a new job on July 22 and will need to let them know I need to start 2 weeks later. New_Me 2019

July 23. I have been waiting not so patiently since mid April to be cleared due to problem with my labs. All of today was spent waiting in Dr. Office. Sent to lab to reorder blood work. More waiting but finally cleared for surgery. New_Me 2019

Thank you for the encouragement. I am trying to take care of me and trust in my health care providers that when it is safe this will all happen. Now to stay on my food/exersize plan so I remain good to go. New_Me 2019

Update - Still do not have medical clearance for surgery. On a possitive note a hematologist reviewed my blood work and does NOT think luchemia is a worry. I am on a high power antibiotic to kill whatever is causing my high white blood count then we will test again at end of the month. So no June surgery for me. I hope all of you have success on your liquid diets and surgery. I hope to be joining you soon. New_Me 2019

I am. Today we did a CT of sinus, Monday we did an ultrasound of ovaries, my colonoscopy and endoscopy look good, so did my lung eray. Oh yeah, next week they are doing a mamogram. So I will have had whole body scanned! Hopefully they will pinpoint the problem soon. Thank you for all the encouragement. New_Me 2019

Quick update. Surgery on HOLD. Dr. looking for cause of high white blood counts. Baratric signed off, PCP says no go. CT scan and referral to blood doc. Very disappointed and worry about what they will find. New_Me 2019

Thank you. I am trying so hard to remain positve. He keeps telling me he is just checking but this is scary and I just want to move on. I feel good, his nurse keeps calling me to see how I am feeling today. FINE. I am not sick... just fat and need a bit of help with that. Hi everyone! Kind of down today. I have a tentative surgery date of 6/4/19. Just need PCP clearance. Today was the 4th visit in a month. He keeps ordering the same blood work. Today he smiled and said "better this is good news". Then ordered another blood test. Results will be in Wednesday. (They are watching high white blood cells and have done 3 studies, no cancer cells but abnormal cells present. I have a son with lukemia CML.). Surgeon insurance gal worried we are cutting authorization close. She penciled me in on both 6/4 and 6/11. When I worry I tend to eat and my weight has been stuck at 215 for about a month. So BMI 39-40. So now not sure how long for preop diet. So weight check on Wednesday. Sorry for rant, just so close and still soooo far away. New_Me 2019
