Hi Everyone, I was banded on February 4th 2009. I never felt as if I was getting better after the surgery. On February 25th I had an upper GI done. It was discovered that there was a hole in my stomach. I was sent to the ER by my doctor so he could go in and take a look. He didn't believe I could have a hole. Well, after going in and taking a look he found there was indeed a hole. My band was removed. I spent ten days in the hospital. I can never have an other band because of scar tissue. At this point I would not want a band again---this has not been a good experience for me. I wish all of you the best on your journey. I will not be posting on here again. I just wanted everyone to know what happened to me. God Bless, and best of luck to all of you.

Hi Everyone. I am being banded on the 4th. I want to thank all of you for the list of things I will need, which I will pick up tomorrow. My surgery is at 1:00 pm, have to be at the hospital at 11:00 am. I do not want to spend the night in the hospital, so if all goes well I will come home Wednesday evening. Again, thank you all of all the useful information. -
Hi, has anyone had Dr. Umbach do their lapband in Las Vegas, NV? I am in the process of having him do my banding. I am waiting for a date for the surgery. I was just wondering if anyone has had him do theirs.

Hi, I just saw a doctor here in Vegas today who is going to do my surgery. Blossom Bariatrics is the website you can go to. His name is Dr. Umbach. I started my journey with Dr. Adkinson. I found his staff to be---well not so helpful. I called to see if they had my information that my doctor had faxed them. No, they didn't. They have SO many faxes that they all just go into a box.I called my doctor and asked if he had anyone else he could recommend-. I went to a seminar today at Desert Spring Hospital. This doctor has only been in Vegas for four months, so he is easy to get into for the surgery. I found Adkinsons group to be like a get em in, get em out. This Doctor is very personable. I hope this will help you. Good luck in your journey. I have an appointment December 10th.Sorry to be so long, but this is a serious surgery, and I just wanted you to have some choices that may help you out.
