    Fat burners

Is it ok to take a fat burning supplement after surgery? I’m 5 months out today. Im talking about ones from GNC or Total Nutrition, not anything like hydroxycut. Does anyone else use any? What is safe and effective? Thanks in advance!

    thank you!
  4. You can definitely do lower fat and still do keto type diet. if you are on facebook there are some keto groups for women who have had bariatric surgery. I would do turkey sausage, I try and sub turkey for everything pretty much, for bacon, ground meat, etc. I try to not just snack on cheese but maybe eggs every once and awhile, make lower fat deviled eggs as a snack, they're great with everything but the bagel seasoning! I use fairlife skim milk, it's lower carb and high protein. I hope that helps and makes sense lol

    Fat burners

Oh, I always thought they were for burning the fat on my body, not that I eat. I do stay low fat and high protein.

Protein shakes for picky protein drinkers

Premier Protein started tasking nasty to me so I tried the Fairlife Core Power protein drinks, they don't have any protein powder in them, they are literally just milk. but if I need some extra protein they have 26 grams. They taste like chocolate milk and are really good. I can't stand most protein drinks.

    Stalling and hunger pangs

I'm in month 4 also, I constantly feel hungry, I don't get it. I am trying to eat every 2-3 hours and practicing intermittent fasting, hoping it helps. I thought I wouldn't be hungry, at least not near as much or all the time! All we can do is keep doing our best.

    Overate and feeling it

I have had several days like this and am only 4 months post op. it makes you feel like absolute crap, mentally and physically. All we can do is forgive ourselves and move on. Maybe another activity to take our minds off wanting to eat our feelings or out of boredom. now I just need to practice what I preach lol

    A book called Always Hungry?

I have not read it, I'm reading a book called "food junkies" right now which is pretty good. I'm going to check this one out as well!

    Coffee 2 months out??

I drink it almost daily, I don't think it is specifically excluded in my plan, I'm almost 4 months out. My surgeon just advises against carbonation and sugar free drinks and to be mindful of stomach issues with coffee. otherwise I haven't had any issues!
