Well done everyone 😊 Thankfully no pain, dumping or nausea. I was fully expecting to wake up in agony from the gas that they inflate you with but nothing. I was also worried about DVT but I kept my legs moving. I did remove the gorgeous surgical stockings as soon as I got home which was really naughty but thankfully again, no problems. I watched so many American vlogs (thank you Lavalley Vida) so kind of knew what was ahead of me. Every time I have a large meal in front of me, I just know that prior to surgery I would have downed the lot but thanks to my VSG, 3 or 4 mouthfuls and I’m satisfied - it’s brilliant -
Thank you x

Oh no. Hope it moves for you soon. So annoying when you are eating a quarter of what you used to but nothing is coming off. I have to admit tho, I’m not doing any exercise yet apart from walking (which no longer hurts)

I feel for you. I paid myself. In England it’s roughly £10,000

Best wishes everyone

3 months post sleeve and 61lbs down. Started at 290lbs. Can’t help wishing it was more but realistically, it’s brilliant 😊

Annoyed with my weight loss
Too many kids replied to Lizbethj's topic in Gastric Sleeve Surgery Forums
You are doing fantastic, be really proud of yourself. I was told to weigh first thing in the morning, after going to the loo and before a shower. I was weighing every day and getting disheartened so now it’s once a week with a realistic loss in my mind. Anything above that is a huge bonus. Well done again -
I used to use 4oz pots and have about 6 meals a day and definitely not eat for at least 2 hours prior to going to bed. I’m really lucky in the fact that I’ve never felt hungry. I’m sure you’ll get through it, just very difficult at this time. Keep sipping the water which will fill your pouch and keep you hydrated

Thanks for your replies. I only have a dash of semi skimmed milk and no sugar. Doesn’t taste like it used to so I guess my taste buds have changed. Think I’ll stop and stick to water to see if that makes a difference x

I'm 60. Anyone else over 50 doing RNY?

Had surgery in January at 53 and menopausal. Have now lost 61lbs in 3 months so very happy. Hopefully no more monthly cycle water weight gain. Best thing I have ever done -
For me I needed to burp discreetly after every mouthful to begin with, even sips of water. It just felt like it was making more room each time. I still feel better if I burp now, 3 months in. You are still early days so just take it slowly, chew really well and enjoy the ride 😉

I am 3 months post op and very pleased with results so far but am slowing right down. I started at 290 lbs, surgery day (January 11th) 272lbs and today 229. I have started drinking tea during the day (typically British) and am slowing down. Does anyone know if this is contributing to slower weight loss. I usually average 3lbs per week but am stalling
