I’m doing well thanks. Even lost 3 lbs while on vacay for 12 days and admit I had a few glasses of wine. 🙂. Which reply were you looking for? Good health to you!

I put benefiber in my water and take Colace 3x a day per my surgeon. Good luck!

We are surgery twins and I am stalled too. Very frustrating. I am on 800 calories and doing everything right too. I’m just trying to focus on the long-term because I know my tool will work in the long run. Hang in there and PM me anytime.

Thank you all for your words of wisdom. The nutritionist took my measurements before surgery. I will have to get those from her. And 104 lbs in a year? Didn’t think about it like that. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Hi all. I had surgery April 3 at 260 lbs and am down 19 lbs. Frustrated last two weeks as my body is changing but I am down from losing 5 lbs a week to 2 lbs a week. I am getting all water, protein, vitamins and walking 3 miles/day. I’m eating 800 calories/day. I know it’s not a stall but I am surprisingly down about it this morning. Big sigh.

My surgeon told me to put Neosporin and a band aid on my incisions and that worked great. Also said to take Benadryl at night. That works great too as mine are still itching.
-
My doctor sent me home with Oxy and muscle relaxers. As you can imagine, those worked great. The incision above my belly button was the worst. It still bothers me a little. I find it very hard to sit still at home and just rest. So I got really frustrated at times. But now I feel almost 100%. I will keep sending positive vibes your way.

Hi Nami. I had a lot of pain and it was really hard for me to get out of bed too. I really missed my hospital bed a LOT. But now I am just over four weeks post-op and I am walking two miles a day. I’m on soft food and getting my protein and water in. You can do this. You are changing your life. Baby steps and you will get there. 🙂

I was April 3 also. The fatigue has been hard for me too. Take one day at a time and be kind to yourself. This is a whole new journey. I know you can do it!!

I am exactly the same. I am three weeks post-op. Some days I just go and go like I normally would and then BAM, I hit a wall and I have to lie down. That’s why my surgeon told me that the “magic number” for calories seems to be around 800 to get over this excess tiredness. I am still off work thanks to an amazing sick leave policy...and, quite frankly, my surgeon said I shouldn’t go back to work feeling like this. I am teleworking some. I do think moving to soft foods will help with your calorie intake. I also drink protein shakes to up my calories and fluids.

Good morning! RNY revision 4/3/19 HW 271 SW 260 CW 250 is anyone else having a hard time getting all liquids and calories in? I’ve been so tired. My surgeon told me to eat 800 calories a day and drink at least 64 oz. I’m finding it hard with 30 mins before/after eating. also. When can we have real coffee? 🤣🤣

How much walking 2-3 weeks post surgery?

I think you are doing GREAT! I am 17 days post-op and am trying to get 1.5 miles in a day. I’m so glad to hear you’re in “nap mode” by 3 pm too because I’m tired daily as well! I had my follow up with surgeon yesterday and he told me to stay off work for another two weeks because of fatigue and also to make sure I am getting 800 calories a day. Thanks for sharing. 😀 -
I don’t mind at all. I had RNY in 2004. Lost 130 lbs. My weight started to creep back up 5 years later and I could tolerate sweets. It’s been a long road to find out what was wrong and a surgeon who was willing to fix it. So glad to be back with a fully functioning RNY.

Good morning. I had a gastric bypass revision on April 3. I am doing well except for being sooo tired. I move onto soft foods today. Pretty excited about that! I spent two nights in hospital because the hole in my original pouch (done in 2004) was 3”, much larger than expected. Also had a lot of scar tissue. The nausea after surgery was horrendous the first day but not too bad after. Pain has been minimal. I I hope everyone here has a surgeon as amazing as mine. And a wonderful post-op experience in the hospital. Hang in there! It gets better every day.

We are all out here supporting you @jennifer22672. I had a longer stay in the hospital than planned and 11 days after my release, I’m eating yogurt and down 8 lbs this week. You can do this!

One word: Yogurt!!! 🤣🤣

Don’t feel like a slacker. I think I overdid it which is why I’ve been so tired last few days. Do what your body says is right. -

I am 8 days post op. I’ve been trying to do two one-mile walks a day. But the last two mornings, I have slept another 3 hours after sending kids off to school. So tired. I am drinking all water and proteins. -
I love the Premier Peotein shakes. Lots of variety and they taste great.

Hi there. I had my gastric bypass revision on April 3. My original gastric bypass was in 2004. My surgeon on April 3 fixed a 3-inch hole in my pouch. Good luck all!
