I finally got my call last night from Georgetown and today I got my e-mail with my first appointment. I go August 13th. The lady said my insurance company had given them the run around. Anyways... I'm a little excited and a whole lot of nervous. She told me some stuff I needed to get ready to bring with me, so I'll have to schedule a Dr's appointment to get some of it. But anyways, it is going... Only took 12 weeks to take the first step! Now if I can get enough stuff to bypass the 6 month diet thing.. which I probably won't be able to :wink2:, but a girl could hope.. then maybe this will move along a little faster. My doctor recommended Dr. Weiss but said Dr. Oldham was good too. I have talked to two ladies on this site that used Dr. Oldham and loved him. It is my understanding that both of them are in the operating room with you... So I don't know. I guess maybe one is the lead and one the assistant and they take turns.... who knows. Everyone please stay in touch. I am pretty much going through this alone. I do have my family, but we are trying to keep it quiet at work and none of my friends know either... so I feel really alone... it is nice knowing you all are here and going through it too. TTYL

Did you mean 4 months to get the initial first appointment or the surgical appointment? I am still waiting on the first initial appointment. I've been waiting on a call for a week... and i filed my paperwork 3 months ago. I really liked Georgetown and don't want to switch. But I have to admit. I'm getting discouraged. Thanks for sharing. Did you use Georgetown?

My journey has been almost 3 months now and still no appointment. I know they were getting inconsistent information from my insurance company, and so that is probably slowing things down.:thumbup: Anyways... I went to their seminar in Someset on May 2nd and sent my paperwork in on May 5th. I'm still waiting. I would love for us to be buddies through this. I have filed my paperwork to use Georgetown as well. I haven't had the procedure yet, but if you'd like a buddy going through the same thing too, I'm here.

I attended the seminar in Somerset on May 2nd. I have submitted my paperwork with Georgetown and hope to get accepted there soon. Would love to stay in touch with people currently going to Georgetown, going through this process and those who have walked it before.
